Remember when they were "PlayStation Foundry" to Xbox fanboys for four years because they just HAD to be paid by Sony?
Remember that? I sure do.
There were legit people complaining that this was cut from the main game. No joke.
Even people accusing them of originally planning to charge for this and only making it free because of the "DLC Backlash".
We're getting dumber every day, I swear.
It does, quite a bit. It says that they want to make it so APPEALING that they'd be willing to say that.
That's not an arrogant statement, it's an acknowledgment that they had a very expensive piece of hardware and it was their job to make it worth the price.
That's a complete misrepresentation of what Kutaragi was saying, my guy.
He said that they were aware of the cost, and that they felt it was their job then to make you WANT to work two jobs to be able to afford it. AKA, to make it so appealing you want it despite the cost.
It's still clunky and not the best PR statement, but hardly the "rampant ego" people keep wanting to make it out to be.
Can't wait to see how Activision screws everything up.
DQXI, Spider-Man, RDR2, Spyro, Valkyria Chronicles 4...
Releasing it in 9 days?
@Gumby
As I said elsewhere, Sony actually maintained the merch rights to the character as well as a split on all solo film appearances as part of the deal.
Your scenario requires Marvel to give up FAR more than they gain in MULTIPLE DEPARTMENTS for the sake of a three movie deal.
lol cool story bro
You're still wrong, as Sony actually maintained the merch rights to the character as well as a split on all solo film appearances as part of the deal.

lol
They've been working on DLC since the game went gold, and they had it mapped out long ago. It's story stuff set after the main story, a new chapter of sorts, that wouldn't fill a whole game. They've been working at it since the game went gold and the first chapter won't even be ready for another month.
But sure, that totally makes the game feel unfinished.
DLC that they started working on as soon as the game went Gold, yes.
You'll have beaten and 100% the game by October?
The movie contract had absolutely nothing to do with this. Insomniac had their choice from a list of heroes.
This... actually isn't a terrible analysis.
I know people are gonna get hung up on one line in here, but it's not really wrong. EA's past scandals are part of why people are treading lightly around this game, and Insomniac and Sony's track record are part of why people have faith in Spider-Man.
I'm saying that when someone scrolls down they can still see the comment in its entirety. You've got maybe a 30% chance of someone seeing that before anything below it and scrolling down really really fast.
Funny how people have kept claiming that and yet each time the game winds up looking better than a lot of early prototypes. God of War, Horizon, Detroit, Uncharted 4, Lost Legacy, etc.
That armor (Spider-Armor MK I) was created by Terry Kavanagh and Alex Saviuk, actually.
And it's my favorite of the set.
What next, you gonna find a leaked screenshot of the mystery villain and slap that up on the front page too?
The devs rather specifically wanted people to be surprised and excited when they discovered the suit selection.
My only concern is carving out two of the games as network downloads.
Get rid of that and we golden.
