In theory, yes...yes it can. And knowing ND...it will.
I doubt either one of them will "bow out" of the games console industry, any time soon. Nintendo and Microsoft are too damn stubborn to make such a move. Even in spite of their stupidest mistakes and business decisions.

Let me guess, you thought the game was too short? Probably cuz you...like so many other speedfreaks out there, rushed thru it...only going after the story missions. Instead of taking your time with it, exploring the city, doing all the side missions, collecting all the shards and maxing out your powers.

Very well said, Arbitor. I get your point and you are right. But like I said, I believe it's the developers responsibility to hit that benchmark, with little to no sacrifice. They can do it. They just need to push harder and higher.

Right. Oculus finally gets the backing it needs, with Facebook. Facebook will feed off of Oculus and Oculus will feed off of Facebook. It's synergy. It also ensures and solidites Facebook's future, with VR. Assuring it wont go the way of MySpace. You can bet, Facebook will be around for a LONG time. Especially after their VR aquisition.

Couldnt agree more. I played same as you. Took me about the same ammount of time, too. I wasnt just gunning for the main story missions, to beat the game as fast as I could. I took the time to explore, have a look around the city. I also went after the shards and upgraded my powers before going to the next story based mission. IDK why anyone would just fly thru the game with only one power. I had the first 3 nearly maxed by the time I beat it and got concrete...
Actually, 2nd Son is a game of average length. MGS Ground Zero's is a "very short game"...in comparison.

I call BS on that statement. Sorry. Even the most experienced gamer, hopped up on speed and tweaking balls....cannot finish ALL side missions and find ALL shards in 2nd Son, in 2-3 hours. Hell, the first 2-3 hours you start the game doesnt put you anywhere NEAR completing all of that.
Either I misunderstood what you meant...or youre full of it.
If you already got the plat....then there was plenty that you have done. The side missions, finding all the shards, Cole's missions, paper trial mission, clearing the cities of the DUP forces, maxing out all the powers. And that's not even all. Theres plenty to do in 2nd Son.
But hey, if you already did everything...congrats. That's why people say take your time with it and dont rush thru it in a couple days. Cuz once youve done everything, youre pretty much done...

What are you smokin? 2nd Son has some of the best level design you will see (SO FAR) on a next gen console. I mean, come on...they recreated the entire city of Seattle, for this game! With a few creative twists...but it's all there. It's no small feat to create these huge cities, man. Look at GTAV. That map is epically huge, in gargantuan proportions. That's some pretty SICK level design, in my opinion.

I tried, dude. Seriously. I tried to play Dont Starve...and couldnt get past the aweful gameplay and simplicity. I tried to play Basement Crawl...and it sucked.
The only GOOD indie game, I actually DO like...is Outlast.
I thought this was gonna be a GOOD thing, and I suppose it is...but then I began to see some of the indie games, being released on PS4...and now I fear that we may be oversaturated with indie games, at some point.
I have nothing against indie games, when they're good and AAA games. Like Flower and Journey was. But now Im seeing games that resemble old 8 bit hits, on my PS4. Little pixelated dudes, from the early 90's era, 8 bit side scrollers...and whatever that gar...

It WASNT a bad idea, from a business standpoint. However, it WAS a bad idea to screw over their Kickstarter supporters, by selling out to Facebook.
They will always be known as "sellouts" now...and what they did will make a lot of future Kickstarters jaded, toward supporting other devs.
I for one...wont be supporting or buying the Rift. Especially now. I'll support Sony and buy the Morpheus, and just wait for PC suppo...
