I suppose for you, 1080p resolution and a complete overhaul on the environment, grass, water, terrain, animals...not to mention the inclusion of a first person view both on foot and in vehicles...isnt worth the upgrade. LOL
I beat it too. Within the first 2 weeks of release, last year on PS3. So what? The online mode is where all the fun is at, anyways.

The adder (Bugatti Veyron) is 1 Million alone, without upgrades. The high end apartments are $500 thousand. The Zentorno (Lamborghini Sesto Elemento) is $725 thousand. The Rhino tank is $1.5 Million.
And so on...
All the "good stuff" in GTA Online is expensive and $500,000 even if it's free...just doesnt come close to most of the bling and swag in the game.

Correction - Let me clarify:
That's $1 Million GTA dollars SHARED between online and offline, story mode.
So it's really $500,000 for offline...and $500,000 for online.
And for those who have been playing online for a while, knows that half a million...is chump change in the grand scheme of things. Especially considering how expensive the vehicles are to buy, plus car parts/upgrades.

First off, let me clarify...friends accumulated across ANY PlayStation brand device; PS3, PS4, Vita...share the SAME PSN network. So, if you have friends on a PS3, they will carry over to your PS4 and Vita as well. Either get a PS4 or get off your list? GET OVER YOURSELF! LOL
Secondly, YES - FFXIV supports cross server play between, not just the PS3 and PS4...but the PC as well. Square-Enix are very open to having ALL players, play with and among eachoth...
The ONLY thing that concerns me is, will the PS4 version support cross server play, between the PS3?

Major downgrade? LOL, no. You probably havent played FFXIV and therefore have no perspective on the gameplay and difficulty. I have been playing it, since launch. I've also played WoW. If Polyphony Digital DID put Gran Turismo on the PS4....they would port GT6: Remastered, first. Because GT7 is still YEARS away, to even be significant to this conversation.
Buy a USB hub. That solves the USB port issue.
Buy 2 controllers and a docking station. That solves the charging without cables issue.
Limiting MP3's and other media to a USB device, keeps your internal HDD free for games. Can you imagine how much space you would burn thru on your HDD...if you shared it between games and a media library? It was different on the PS3. Mainly because PS3 digital download games were nowhere as huge as PS4 games. You could so...
