Taking a page out of Nintendo's Wii U-NX book.
Already seeing the original Xbox One selling for $219 new on ebay and I expect it to drop even more in the coming weeks. Better off just picking up one of those and putting the $80 towards XBL and any game of your choice, unless you really need 4k video right now (chances are you don't).
Shooters, shooters, and more shooters.
I agreed with you... up until you bashed Gwent. Gwent was amazing, and I probably spent a third of my time playing the Witcher 3 in Gwent matches.
Being able to buy used games, being able to sell your games, Gamefly/Redbox, actually getting retailer discounts are all reasons to get an Xbox One over playing it on PC. If you have to have the game Day 1 and it's something you plan on owning for years to come, the Win10+Windows Store version will be fine, but knowing MS (and Sony does this too), having a monopoly on their digital storefront guarantees we'll be seeing very few price drops or discounts while retailers will be selling ...
* For now.
** Until some big publisher tells us we have to abandon the Xbox One and Slim.
And Microsoft has never 180'd an announcement/decision before. Nope. Not once.
If it was shown at Microsofts conference you can bet that its Windows Store exclusive and requires 10, sadly. At least the options there, but man its a pretty poor one. I'd almost rather just invest in an Xbox One than use the Windows Store and 10.
Specs are part of Xbox One's current issues, sure, but the more pressing matter is that nearly every Japanese developer jumped on board the PS4 exclusive train and outside of a few things MS has funded themselves (Scalebound in particular) they'll continue to prioritize Sony hardware. New hardware from MS isn't going to change that.
I think what he means is he hopes that the regular, base games, sans 4k/VR/HDR, or whatever new jazz they come up with will still play in the Xbox One. Nobody expects a 4K VR version of a title to work on current Xbox One hardware, but if someone just wants to play the game in regular ol' 1080p TV the current Xbox One will still support it.
I for one couldn't give a single damn about VR or 4k gaming, so if that's all that sets the Scorpio and Neo apart from the current c...
Might as well pick up an old Xbox One once the prices start dropping while retailers make room for the Slim. I wouldn't be surprised if we see some sales for around $199 in the coming weeks.
Nope.
I'd rather just pick up an original Xbox One for cheap once the prices start falling this week and save a little bit for whatever Scorpio or the Neo end up costing. Internal power brick is pretty appealing though.
The problem being Microsoft at least supported the Xbox One. There were more games shown at this E3 for Xbox One than Nintendo has ever released for the Wii U over the four years it existed.
Well, I still like renting games so that is one reason for me. It's also cheaper than a graphics card on par with the Xbox One for PC, not to mention everything else you need for a PC.
Because its going to be on PS4 as well.
Yeah I noticed that too. Everything exclusive very specifically says so prior to their trailer, so I'm sure this one is multiplat.
Battlefield isn't an annual release?
What are you talking about, the internet is buzzing about "Untitled Star Wars Game (2019) * "

I don't know what I was expecting in For Honor, but it wasn't Dynasty Warriors Ubisoft-style.
