Are games not grand.

exactly, as if all this has nothing to do w/ the lack of games that always plagues the Summer months. No games worth buying, no sales. No games worth buying and stuff to do outside the house, no console sales... The Summer months are always down. The real truth will come this Fall/Winter. Even then, imo there's a lackluster lineup so sales comparisons mean little imo....

indeed. Though 3 years might be stretching it, imo, I think 2 years is a perfect number.

More [smart] companies are starting to use this cycle as well. Insomniac with Resistance + Ratchet and Clank. Ubi w/ Assassins Creed and Prince of Persia. Naughty Dog rolling out Uncharted every 2 years; though they don't release anything in between. Every two years for Epics Gears. This is an absolutely perfect formula imo.

I think last gen we saw SOOOO many titles getting was...

definitely stupid. It's as if kids started driving/stealing cars once GTA released. Not the case. Kids, few, have been taking joyrides for YEARS. Crap, I remember once when I was a kid my dad left the keys in the car and the gravel/cement yard with me in. Guess what? Yeah, I took it for a spin. :D There was no GTA when I was a kid. Just Mario Bros, and Kid Icarus.... ;) what a joke these stories are...

totally with you on all that SpoonyRDM.

The thing is this is a practice that's been going on for years and it won't change. Personally I have no problem with it and imo others shouldn't either. If they want to allow glowing reviews to be published earlier than the rest then let them. Any site/publication with any ounce of dignity won't write a glowing review just to get a review out there. And if they do they are amongst the least credible of sources in gaming journalism.

yeah, I don't see anything special. These are their everyday prices on all these games. From time to time just like any other retailer some prices may shift slightly. But for the most part, everything I just looked at is the same as it's been the last couple months. Here I thought I was missing something. Nope, just the same ole.

I hear ya. that's why I always go amazon.com+prime. If I don't mind waiting a couple days I get free two day shipping. If I want the game right away I can pay $4 to have it sent overnight and still spend less than I would at a store. And for bigger games they've been offering free overnight to prime members. It's been well worth the price to have amazon prime. It's been nice to see them offering most pre-orders for $56-57 or occasionally less along w/ $10 off a future game purchase last Fall ...

Why do people care so much? imo Because this article tries stating that Prototype is the "fan favorite" yet tries to conclude this by sales on 360 and PS3 [which they don't even have numbers for because it didn't make the NPD list]. Which you can't do because inFAMOUS is PS3 exclusive. Obviously, lacking inFAMOUS and only having Prototype 360 owners will flock to Prototype to get their fix. Where as PS3 owners, though not all, just most, will flock to inFAMOUS to get their fix. You ...

that's one reason I haven't even turned my 360 on in months... I'd much rather use the blades than NXE. Quite frankly, I absolutely hate NXE and think it BLOWS. The blades weren't only great but looked great as well. They were easy navigate, to the point, and very functional. A retarded monkey could have used the blades. With NXE everything is so convoluted. It just plain sucks navigating that crap and searching for stuff; imho... Meh, might as well just stick to playing to exclusives on it. ...

It's definitely a shame people overlooked this one. I hear PS3 gamers crying about how there's no RPGs. Yet SO many neglected to pick this up. imo it's easily ONE of THE BEST RPGs I've ever played. It's absolutely brilliant and looks beautiful to boot. It's a shame they didn't patch it for trophies though. ;) that would have easily moved more copies amongst those fickle gamers who were on the edge. What an ugly industry of fellow gamers we have...

worth the price? I agree but disagree though I won't actually disagree with anyone's comments. I just don't see it. For 32GB of storage, yes, I'd lean towards it being worth the increased price. Would I buy one? Probably not simply because my launch day PSP 1000 is kicking, and because I really don't get much use out of my PSP. Which sometimes is a shame because there's still some excellent games out there I need to play, and a few more that I still need to buy...

Anyway... But w...

they're not going to be this good. Lol. http://www.amazon.com/Optic...

I'd expect the quality to be the same as the children toys you can buy for $50-70 or so. Considering the price of $150 that's about what you'd get imo. NVG about $50-70, MW2 @ $60, trivial content, + CoD dl token which is probably worth $...

many companies Fiscal year starts April 1st, as masterg above said.

someone said Take Twos starts Nov 1st. That would be the first time I ever heard of any gaming company with such a strange fiscal year. Normally they run in 3 month intervals, or quarters that break the year evenly. Oct-Dec, Jan-March, April-June, July-Sep. Most gaming companies seem to run the Fiscal year starting April 1st. I do believe a few run differently but I can't recall who or exactly when their fiscal ...

So anyway. How exactly is it that "you people are dumb Lol" when that quote is clearly what the caption notes in the magazine? It says "for the PSPGo" and not on the PSPGo. If it were to say on the PSPGo it would be assumed that ...

my bad... that's what I get for trying to explain something that late. idk what was going through my mind :D Daily updates, yearly fee, what I was going to say next? :D Sorry bout that...

as already stated, the fee is $6 a year to have your card updated automatically several times a day from PS3TrophyCard.com. As I said, a minimal fee but a fee nonetheless...

it's there. I have the issue sitting right here. Got it earlier last week. But I wrote it off as a misprint. However, after hearing BlazBlue has remote play... Yeah, I'm willing to bet that Uncharted 2 on the PSP, if not a misprint, is nothing more than remote play. Still cool but a far cry from Uncharted 2 on the PSP...

yeah, I honestly don't see what the holdup is. They have that stupid little gamercard but nothing in the lines of trophy cards. And all the other places really suck... Playfire isn't half bad but they take forever to get some games up and outside the EU region you have to manually update. Which I don't actually mind but then you get strokes listing every trophy available as if they actually obtained them all. I guess my biggest gripe is how slow they are to get games up there, and how often w...

totally agree mastiff. But at the same time, at some point, you just start ignoring all the blood/ooze anyway. After the initial @@ you slowly start to focus on the game and combat itself and pay little to no attention to the blood/ooze gushing out. Either way it really doesn't matter to me, but indeed, I'd prefer to have it toned down than to be totally removed. But in doing so I think they hope they can obtain a T rating to appeal to a wider market. ;)

I already have this for ...

If I'm not mistaken Sony London isn't really doing much atm. They're obviously still working on EyePet, probably another SingStar, but for the most part I don't think they're doing anything else atm. Maybe working on something else eyetoy related. But I think when it comes to big games like the Getaway and Eight Days (both obviously canceled) we're not going to see this studio pump out anything like that soon.

Too bad Sony doesn't shoot the NBA license over to them because NBA S...

you call me BS? Maybe you didn't quite understand what I said then. :P I said while I personally still don't want to see it because I keep tabs on games/gaming, I can understand them advertising games, but anything else, no. New releases both retail and digital would be acceptable imo. I'd still rather not see it but I can see where they're coming from. In one not all keep up like me, and many others here on new releases, etc, and it's something that benefits Xbox, gamers and their developers...

I really wish they'd throw Eight Days back on the block and start grinding away on it. But I can see where they're coming from in canceling it. Just sucks for us 350k that would have bought it and the other 250k that would have played it...

Anyway, this footage we all saw last year sometime. In a similar video. Maybe it was even this video minus the EyePet footage. Or a video from the same guy. But I KNOW for a fact that we saw this, or something like it with the same footage pos...
