Some people grow out of the kiddie game phase. Others think they're too mature for it. And so on. The problem isn't so much the kiddie games. The problem becomes are these games worth me dropping $300 + games to play? I was just looking at Wii U thinking it would be nice but for the few games I might actually play and enjoy it's still not worth it. yeah I constantly play 12+ hours while sitting around waiting for insurance to approve surgery (which was just denied so back to where I was 4 weeks ago). Being on IR all I pretty much do lately is game. Furthermore I've left my PS4 on 2-3 times while sleeping, with Bloodborne on and it never got easier. For the record as the article states, turn Power Save off, I do have it off. Matter of fact BSB kicked me arse another 6+ times before I was able to beat him. Perhaps it was tunnel vision...
For $24 and some change, what I paid, I figured why not. It would be nice to have a book right now but not imperative. Though I could pretty much say the same about pretty much any game so it's incredibly rare I bother with them. Personally a combination of the art, interview and especially the Dynamic Theme sold me on it with the added bonus of in depth look into everything in the game and now the covering of chalice dungeons which is why it was delayed I believe.
no doubt. I had bought Demon's Souls import (Hong Kong Version) when it appeared there was no chance of it's release Stateside. Then something the next day after I had played it Atlus announced they'd be bringing it to the US. I really wanted to play it but just didn't have the time & had mixed feelings thinking I'd pick it up again once released in the US so never got into it.

I'm a pack rat. I'll never say goodbye. Still have my NES, PS, PS2, Gamecube... Actually I've been replaying A LOT of PS3 games the past couple months. Eventually the PS3 will find itself unplugged and put away but even then it might come out to play occasionally. The only reason the PS2 has remained tucked away is my PS3 is backwards compatible and going from HD to SD proved difficult. Good thing for some of those remasters & upscaling.
I don't think it's so much that people dislike Destiny. It's that at the end of the day those who do realize how shallow it is and grow bored. Obviously early on there was much dislike and I suppose even to this day you get some pissing on the game but by large it's the veterans complaining most. Generally speaking the game itself, while incredibly weak, is absolutely incredible and the game play is spot on. IMHO you can't ask for much better control from a console shooter...
you don't have to google every single game every day but.... yeah. if it's announced it should be posted then not months later for those who missed it. And if you're interested in a game I doubt N4G is the only place you look for news/info on said game. Of course this is better news than all the crap and opinion pieces that do get posted so even if old at least it's solid material
Lets not forget about the "Exclusive Dynamic Theme." I'm not one to bite on books or guides but for the price of $24 and change I couldn't resist. The dynamic theme, exclusive interview, the art & pricing made this one book I had to have. While the delay does suck it was nice seeing a whopping 128 pages will be added & that instead of releasing a half ass book day one they're taking the time to do this right.

actually they've had a page for years. Not in great detail like it is now but there was a page in the knowledge center showing whether or not PSN was Online or Offline.
the article says 2.5' and 3.5' so was wondering when hard drives started to be measured in the size of feet and not inches.
I haven't looked at hard drives lately but wouldn't $40 + a 3.5" drive end up costing the same as a 2.5" drive? Granted when it comes to greater than 1TB that probably isn't the case but still.... casual market I don't think cares if/when they realize just delete old game files. it is pretty neat so I give them that but...

that is absolutely true. not only that but you can't keep everyone happy. Tweak for one of crowd of complainers and the ones who were happy are now complaining. And so on.
RNG absolutely sucks. One of my biggest complaints in the past is that unlike an MMO where you can camp an NM or try to obtain a specific item Destiny doesn't have this. Meaning it's all on Xur or RNG to get the coveted items you want. That is in fact a problem.

that's the problem. Reviewers, gaming journalists shouldn't place their experience or feel into a game rating. The material itself should merit the rating. I guess all too often that is one reason gaming journalism and reviews are to never be trusted. Too many put their preference into the review or score. I've read reviews of RPGs where the author clearly doesn't enjoy said genre so rates it poorly. That being said until these journalists and hack reviewers/sites start rating...

doesn't matter who the Studio is. Sony Pictures is independent from Sony Computer. All Sony Pictures wants to do is put out a movie that's a blockbuster or at the very least has strong ticket and disc/digital sales to flip a profit. Take a popular gaming IP, film it and hope to bank on it.
