Meh, Skyrim was a contender, no doubt. But it didn't deserve most of its awards in my opinion. Especially after the fact that Todd Howard blatantly lied about the PS3 version being on par with the PC and 360 versions. This isn't the first time he's lied about it either.

One thing that Dark Souls DOES do better than Skyrim/TES is COMBAT.
You can't argue that.
The combat in Dark Souls is silky sooth. Whereas in Skyrim/TES...yeah, not so smooth. I feel like I'm swinging two mechanical arms.

You can't deny that the PSVita's lineup isn't looking better than the 3DS'. That would be pure fanboyism.
I'm also trading in my 3DS. From what's been offered so far for the system, I can live without it. My DSi XL is all I need on the Nintendo front for now.
The PSVita's launch / future lineup is more than the 3DS can compete with in my opinion. (I'm talking about competition between libraries, not sales.) I might as well sell it now before it drops in value.
