I agree about the games comment. The titles that get sequels on other platforms beside Nintendo get blasted for following a formula.
But when Nintendo announces (kind of pointless since it's a matter of time, not if) a follow up with the same characters, similar storyline, if not the exact same with Mario it's hailed as the next great game.

This is stupid. It's the same as the websites that create an app to go there webpage for their site and people don't like that.
Currently you have to open an app to go to watch espn or HBO. Xbone is instantly available and can be run simultaneously with games, Skype, etc.

I'll have to look at the numbers, but a lot had to do with the continual growth of the platform. It did peak right at the beginning of his tenure, from what I recall. But my point stands that he was at the helm when the stopped producing as many new titles outside of Kinect most likely in an attempt to boost profit.
In the end Xbox made more profit than Sony at the potential risk of long term profit by hurting the core gamers.

I disagree. He came in after (2007-8) the brand already turned a profit. All he did was slow the growth and lose market share to Sony. I call that failing at business.
I like the Xbox but he's right this guy didn't do it any favors. His legacy is the Kinect 1. Since he came aboard MS has released few AAA exclusives and fewer new IPs.
The brand was growing faster before he took over.

The Kinect 2 is supposed to recognize people within 4 feet of it. Much better than Kinect 1.

You're not saying how bad Kinect is for games so you get the disagree.
I agree it's lame to get easy games just for achievements. But for games that you enjoy and complete it's a great indicator of your taste in games and shows your dedication certain types of games and helps you make you new friends you can play with for future games.
Of course you have to get along with the people, but at least it shows you have similar taste.
I think achievements in games are great. I use trueachievement.com and for coop games this keeps the community alive for old games. You can create a session and find others that want to play that game with you.
The best ones for me at least are the hardest ones to attain. Like completing a level without dying, time based ones, hard play through etc.

Thanks for the tip. I just ordered another year even though mine doesn't run out till end of January. $35 is about as low as it goes. I have seen it for $25 but those are limited quantities and never seem to be able to grab them.
I heard that too from someone and checked for info on it. No such information available.
BTW I placed my preorder through the Xbox dashboard, said nothing about it there either.

Castle crashers isn't an indie game though. It's a mainstream arcade title. I think you have a misconception of what an indie title is.
I love the small budget arcade titles (got over a 100) just not the indie ones. Look at the marketplace. They're broken off into their own section.

I don't know why everyone cares so much about Indies. I have looked through the Xbox indie catalog and it has around 3000 titles. 3x as many as arcade titles.
But the problem is that the games themselves don't look good from the galleries provided. I don't know how to find the gems and in the end ignore the games.
The way I look at it is that with a publisher it's at least keeping the total down from 10000.

I got both on Pre order. Day one Xbox one and PS4.
Selling the PS4 to pay for xbox one and games.
Games I'll be getting are Dead Rising 3, Watch Dogs, Forza 5, CoD Ghosts and BF4. Plus the free games.
If I keep the PS4 I'd get Killzone and the free games.
The interface looks horrible. If people hate ads on the xbox then you will have fun looking at the ads for games all over your interface on the PS4.
Just curious, but with PS+ do you have to be online to use the games they offer? Even the single player ones.
If you can play offline how do they know you're still a member if your plus expires. Thanks
