I would love it if they tried again as long as it had physical media. I love my Vita and PSP. I even still on occasion play PocketStation. I also ask for standard micro SD cards.

No they were gone by then. Those members formed Seeds and one other company in 2006 and merged in 2007 to create Platinum Games. So Kamiya and all them never touched DMC4.

Clover was long gone by the time DMC4 came out even. By the time DMC4 released in 2008 Bayonetta was halfway into development. DMC4 at the time reviewed the best & sold the best. Capcom just made all kinds of stupid decisions last gen trying to make everything gritty and western. It was never good. Lame level design. Enemy design. The absurd edgelord attitude. The combat was okay if it was it's own game but as a DMC game the combat was not good as pulling a S rank was very easy. The writing was really poor. The dumb f bombs and Vergil dick joke. The game just sucks.
Pretty fun arcade racer but they really throw you in some not so novice tracks for a new player.
Might want to pick up the DMC HD collection first and 4. Play 1,3,4 skip 2. If not then watch Super Best Friends LPs of those games or at the very least watch the cutscenes. DMCV relies on the player's knowledge of past games. Mainly 3 & 4.
Their golden era was the 90s dude. From their infinite amount of fighting games & Beat Em Ups. RPGs. Action games. Puzzle games. Mega Man games. Wrestling games. Racing games. Platformer games and their licensed Disney games were amazing. They made just about everything.
Seriously how is Team Ninja NOT making an NG game? From Soft is releasing Sekiro. Capcom with DMCV. Nintendo with Astral Chain, Bayonetta 3 & Daemon X Machina. All in one year (possibly for B3) & they are sitting on one of the best series in the genre.

MS can buy all the studios they want but they have shown time and time again this generation from canceled projects to underwhelming games released and even shut down studios like Lionhead. It's not the studios so much as their management. Also, note they bought western studios. I know they didn't set the world on fire but I liked 360 exclusives like Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey and more. I didn't care about Halo or Gears. Sure you think well those Japanese games are more niche. Yeah...
Warframe is still great but it's free. AAA $60 should not be doing this at all.
