Jesus Nomura hair looks worse with more detail. The overall model looks better but Nomura's hairstyles just get goofier looking the better the model.

900P Docked 576P Undocked. Solid performance with worse pop in than PS4. Better than PS3 resolution by far. (PS3 wasn't even 720P) Mostly solid FPS at 30 compared to 20 on PS3. PS4 also 30 but holds that 30 better.

That is Final Fantasy VI. Followed by IX. IV and V are in the mix. XII is amazing but comes after those. XII, however, is the last great game in the mainline series.

No, it's because it was most peoples first and the first in "3D". It was the first to be mainstream. It's far from the best. VI is. IX is the best on PS1. FF7 is much like OoT. Took a good franchise in 3D and did it well enough at a time most franchises struggled to make the transition but both games have been bested before and since.
