It never was because the battle is a mismatch for the kind of game it wants to be. It requires so much grinding and that is not the right battle system for that. It bogged the game way down. It's why they changed it in NNK2. Dragon Quest a grind-heavy RPG series has a battle system that fits that narrative. NNK needed to either remove the grinding or change the battle system to be turn-based. This is from someone who still owns that huge collector's edition on PS3.
The switch uses none of the same architecture as the Wii U. Nor the same API. Wii U used a beefed up Wii CPU which was a beefed up Gamecube CPU. Wii U used AMD GPU tech from 2008. It used a GX2 API. Nintendo's own API. An upgraded GX from Gamecube/Wii. The switch uses Nvidia tech Tegra X1 and uses NVN API which supports OpenGL & Vulkan. It's more powerful than Wii U and much more modern architecture and not the same thing at all in function either. Motion controls go back to the ...
It will never happen but I'd love to see PD remake or make a sequel to Omega Boost in-between GT games
I have an SSD on my PC and outside things being faster. It's still pretty much the same experience. It's an incremental improvement but not a game changer. Cartridges in the 90s didn't have load times. If it was that big of a deal load times on CD-based systems would have felt like a game breaker.
If anything happens it will be ports of the first 2 games on Eshop
I pretty much expected them to just be more powerful versions. With the exception of Nintendo, the age of truly unique hardware is dead. Sony and MS offer DRM PC's with a custom OS. I'm ok with that. Sure I love the era of unique systems in the 90s and glad Nintendo still does something like that. At the same time, I like that I know what I am getting and just being a better version is ok with me overall. I care most about games and personally if history is anything to go by. Out of X...
Small correction but cloud gaming existed on Genesis and SNES. They had games streamed to them. Not downloaded. Streamed. So it's been around a long time.
Silent Hill
Mortal Kombat 1995
Street Fighter Assassin's Fist (this is more modern)
The first Resident Evil CGI film (not the Mila films)
Worked for Mario, not being in the Mushroom Kingdom. Worked for Doom not being in Hell. Worked for Final Fantasy Spirits Within to not be Final Fantasy. Worked for Resident Evil to not be in Raccoon City or The Mansion. Oh...wait did I say they worked? Ha, I was lying. Those all sucked and for various reasons but one of the main things was not using source material. Why Sonic will suck as well.
All they could do with a Switch Pro is just put an X2 in it. It would not be a massive upgrade. Screen resolution and battery life would likely remain the same. Better frame rates and slight resolution bumps in some games with dynamic resolutions. Lastly, they would just call it New Nintendo Switch or at best Switch +
I should note I meant Panzer Dragoon Saga remaster.
Stadia won't be around in 5 years if Googles tendency to shut things down after 4 years is any indication.
You just have to track down the originals on Saturn/PS1 and Dreamcast. They made it firm this is a digital only thing.
Less we talk about the PS2 port the better.
What will come out first.
Mother 3 in the west.
Shenmue 4
Half life 3
Mega Man Legends 3
Skies of Arcadia 2
Panzer Dragoon Remaster
Starcraft Ghost revival
Deep Down
Or Star Citizen?
MUA3 looks like a fun game with personality. CD's game looks like Anthems Avengers with an identity crisis if it wants to be MCU or its own thing.
I personally hated 3 but the main reason is GA doesn't own full rights to that game. Square has some ownership over it.
I love these games. Still have my originals on Saturn, PS1, and Dreamcast. Shame Grandia 1 is based on the PS1 version. Saturn version was so much better. Something about Game Arts and Grandia ports on PS systems always looked worse. Portable Grandia 2 esp is great.
HAHAHA! Good luck with that. Japanese version ranges from 60 to 90 bucks depending on the day and this will have a more limited run than that.
TOV is the only Tales game I liked but this does look really fun. Getting it on PS4.
