It has outsold Xbox One. The news tho is Astral Chain and MUA3 are over 1 million sold! They deserve it!
I have seen much worse games get great sequels. For those that have not. Play the original Street Fighter.
I loved it in Links Awakening. Just like WW style would not have worked for the tone of Twilight Princess or Minish Cap with OoT. Oot style would not work for Wind Waker. LA and WW are my two fave Zelda games.
Would not work for the tone BOTW2 is going for.
3DS is fully BC with DS yet it did 75 million as to the DS 154 million. Wii U played Wii titles and sold about 1% of Wii sales. I figured N4G would just want to fanboy out and not use logic and take it as some sort of bashing of PS5 when that is far from the case. BC rarely factors in total sales in general anyway. PS4 went up against the Wii U and Xbox One at launch had confusing messaging about online and used games. Wii U was an all-around mess. Sony had to do very little to counter them. ...
I don't expect PS5 to dominate as PS4 did. PS4 had the benefit of Nintendo and MS doing everything wrong. Now Switch is on pace to outsell Wii. Series X announcement while it didn't set the world on fire. It wasn't an embarrassment either. It was serviceable. So already better than XBO. Not sure if it will be as close as PS3/360 sales but it will be much closer than this gen was. I do expect PS5 to outsell Series X. I just don't expect it to stomp it like this gen.
I'm also going to add Sony and SEGA were in talks to make the Saturn together but SEGA of Japan thought they knew better. SEGA of Japan made a lot of bonehead decisions and would not listen to SEGA of America sadly.
The other thing is Google was coming in blind. No one else has ever come to the console business blind and had success. Nintendo had Game n Watch plus arcades previously. Same with SEGA with arcades. Sony had worked with Nintendo on the SNES sound chip. The CD add on and published games on SEGA CD. MS had the MX in the 80s and had PC gaming in the 90s and worked with SEGA to put Windows ME on Dreamcast. They all had some transition into it. Infinite Undiscovery is one of the worst RPGs I have ever played with one of the worst opening acts to a game.
The same era when Nintendo gave Mario a tribal tattoo in an ad for the GBA SP Tribal edition. Also, the same era as those lousy "Who are you" ads with the graffiti art. NOA early 2000s was so lost. Reggie was correct.

Modern MM games are pretty bad tho. Removing the cel shading makes a bad game look even worse.
Nintendo doesn't censor 3rd parties on Switch. That was his point. Nintendo may censor their own games but not 3rd parties.

What did Contra Rogue Corpse cost? It looked like an early 360 game and ran like shit on everything.
