VR gimmick is of no interest for me, no matter how effective it is. The only thing I care about is that Resident Evil 7 has little to nothing to do with Resident Evil. You know, that B-movie shlockfest kind of survival horror game with third-person camera, iconic tank controls weeaboos don't like so much, constant inventory managment and backtracking through a stereotypical castle-like house full of unrealistic puzzles ? Shenmue seems to be tamer then Yakuza, somewhat more realitic and not as ridiculous in it's premise. I like both. Yakuza is more about raging fighting and criminal drama while Shenmue is more a story about a very talanted son of a dojo master seeking revenge, both are kind of B-movie-ish, yet both are charming.
Also, take into account that Shenmue didn't have the time to blossom as much as Yakuza, so it is perfectly fine to cut it some slack.
Why should I leave ? I have been with the series since RE2 and always loved what it represented, how about you First-Person walking-hiding simulator fans leave ?
