The thing that impresses me most about this game, everyone's having fun messing around in it. I can't remember the last time a AAA-game got such universal love poured on it from Microsoft.

I don't think the lack of sales is a sleight against the game itself. I saw a heap of positive reviews. Me thinks a mixture of bad marketing and fan dissension is at play.
It baffles me they threw this out after the 30th anniversary and didn't see this negative reaction coming.
I just hope Nintendo hasn't hinged the success of the franchise on this outing.

I was personally a huge fan in the PS2 era. Loved the games back then!
The reality is "give it to the right dev" isn't going to happen. It's up to Gearbox alone to make the franchise work, and I don't think they know how.
I don't think Nintendo want my money.
