Saying it is basically a broken game with bland gameplay and story sounds like a damage control article because of the game of the years it has been getting from everyone.

In every single individual market that both are available Sony has sold more, not just combined worldwide. Once Sony can keep these things in stock in larger markets, they will explode even faster in sales.

That's why when they take data from the number of units in stock on amazon for each, the ps4's sell out in hours and comparable stock from x1 sells out in who knows how many days. Because the demand is not high...
Fantastic game, one of my all time favorites.
You also have to take into account the wide availability of X1 and extremely limited stock of the ps4 that gets gobbled up hours after it is re stocked.
I loved TLoU, I don't share any complaints you have, when I played as Ellie I had a hard time not getting spotted, never saw a frame rate drop or graphical glitch of any kind. Fantastic gameplay and fantastic story. I love that it is getting recognized for it too. Great job ND. 10/10 from me all day long.
BTW, I didn't hit disagree on any comment that didn't share my opinion, I know not everyone loved it as much as me.

Actually many devs were outspoken about how much they disliked the PS3 for one reason or another. It didn't get nearly the third party love the 360 did, valve was a good example. It wasn't until the PS3 started gaining ground on the 360 that devs changed their tune greatly. It was interesting to watch, I guess people don't remember how much hate the ps3 got for a quarter of it's life cycle.
The PS4 cameras is also doing really well selling out nearly everywhere, I think people really want Sony's camera and the services and features they provide this gen. Such as the playroom as a cool bonus for buying it, it's really fun and free.
I'm not surprised they are close with Sony having very few consoles available to purchase... What I am surprised by is that Sony is doing so well in the US. I think price here is less important than people think, people spend money they don't have on crap all day, as long as it is the cool, new product.

Yeah, they have a crap ton of advertising going on with Wal-Mart, Mcdonalds, ryse and dead rising commercials and other random football ads and others on tv... Sony has only had two that I have seen and they don't come on very often. It's pretty amazing that Sony can still do so well without the high frequency advertising.
TLoU and Red Dead Redemption are my fav this gen..
Forza 4 looks better, graphically the difference is very small. I think there is better shading in Forza.. That is what does it for me.
Sony could sell out of 5 million consoles in a week if they had them in stock. Look how fast these things sell!
