Difference is barely worth mentioning to be honest.

Shut up. LittleBigPlanet has been in development for years and so would any successor. Gears of War 2 was in development before Gears of War released and it was two YEARS before the 2nd game was released. Step away for the ridiculous conspiracy theories because it only makes sense that LBP2 is on the way.

Also not everyone will want Live so they wont buy the adapter leaving you at $299.
People look at the price on the box and if things are optional, they will buy them if they want to or need to.

The Xbox 360 and PS3 do pretty much exactly the same things overall yet the Xbox 360 is half the price in many areas. Sony HAS to do something about that.
There are many games that just didn't make the cut. I feel there are too many FPS games on the market to make a single one of them GOTY. Call of Duty: World at War is up there with Resistance (going on the Betas) and I just couldn't seperate them.
I think you're reading too much into it. But hey, I'm sure incest has surprised in the past!
And those are very fair impressions. If Gears turns out to be a cracking game, I see no reason for it not to be Game of the Year. It might not have the same innovations as LBP brought to the table but if it's a GREAT game, you can't really deny it that honour.

Assassin's Creed? It has much better animations than MGS4 and just as good as Uncharted and it's on 360...
I don't understand how it can go from the 1.6 patch on the Beta working fairly well to this mess? I was planning on picking up at UK launch (28th November) and it looks like that's a great idea as the bugs MAY be ironed out by then.
Are not reviewing very well lately. Their SOCOM review score didn't correlate with what the reviewer said and the same with Fable II. Hmm.
This isn't the first time Sony have had to release a patch to fix a previous patch. Oh well...

The only games I've really enjoyed on my PS3 are GT5P, LBP (damn delay!) and SOCOM (beta mind).
