Quite ironic that you are mocking someone for stupidity and you misspelled Holy and capitalised the "S" in s***.
Just an observation.
(and no, before you Americans comment on my spelling of "capitalised", try looking up the real English dictionary (Oxford English Dictionary) and check its spelling).
I'm actually about to play rFactor but thanks for your suggestion...
This just backs-up my opinion that GT has been very dogmatic over the years, refusing to adapt and only doing so when sales begin to fall. Quite sad. GT should be the innovator, not the stagnant omnipotent presence.
I believe Forza over-compensates with the gamepad (i.e. reduces speed sensitivity of steering etc) to such a degree you can't really tell what's going on. For instance, under-steer (real understeer) is very hard to achieve on FM2 at moderate/high speed. I believe it's just the gamepad reducing the allowing steering angle to make it playable for your average gamer.
The best simulation I've ever played is iRacing but it's so expensive that I wont be renewing my subscription any ti...
Don't pretend to know what I'm talking about? Hahaha, I'm a mechanical engineer.
ALL tyre models on the ISI-based games (rFactor, RACE, GTR/2, F1 Challenge) use a Pacejka-like model for tyre analysis. This is fairly rudimentary and should have been improved since we are in a generation where CPU processing capabilities are very, very high. Live for Speed and iRacing (along with Richard Burns Rally) have their own proprietary tyre simulations that offer much more realism when it ...
Forza's physics are the bar in terms of console racers...Simbins aren't the top of the PC tree to be fair but they are better at their work than the console boys.
One thing ALL developers need to work on: The tyre model. They are almost all complete rubbish.
Read my message again. I said they could just refrain from comment or actually make something intelligent up to say, instead of blurting out absolutes.
I KNOW the PS3 needs a price cut and to announce one months in advance is suicide...but so is denying one then doing it anyway :/
There is a clear difference between not commenting on the topic and coming out flatly denying any price cut will come in that time period. Imagine if someone buys themselves a PS3 in February using this statement as confidence that the price wont be dropped for a while to come and Sony end up dropping it 2 weeks later. What would you have to say about that? The consumer would be PISSED. They have dug themselves into a hole with this statement and it's just another bad Sony marketing decision....
I see you know how to read *rolleyes*
Solid for the 360 - over 10,000 a week will do nicely.
Free speech on a site with it's own terms and conditions? You're not in the US on the internet, sonny. You agreed to follow their rules, and you didn't. Have fun in the Open zone.
And it is overpriced!
I just went into a few stores (Home Stuff was empty) and the Estates shop was wanting £3.99 for a new apartment. And everything I seem to click on costs money; a new club is £3.99 also. Clothing too isn't cheap; you could easily spend £5 on new items. So much for PSN being free :|
You couldn't have gone wrong with either the PS3 or 360 this year. Personally I would have chosen (on reflection) the PS3 alone because my favourite games were almost all multi-plats (Fallout 3, COD:WAW, FarCry2) and those which were exclusive were on PS3 (LBP).
I didn't like MGS4 - it's just a mediocre 3PS with a convoluted story...but if that's your bag, sobeit :/
I will say one thing however: if you want to enjoy some of the best games this year (the multiplats I...
None of them are hot.
The Arcade has a Wireless controller as standard and an HDMI port. Nothing like miss-information, is there? :|
You're damn right, mate. This year's GOTY was such a difficult choice for me and my staff. We've been talking about it for months but I believe we've picked the most deserving winner. Not that any of the others are disappointments; far from it, they are all superb (in fact, everyone check out the LBP level I finished as I type called "Raining Fire" by Scotracer).
2008 truly was a gamer's year.
Jesus Christ...he can't even spell "lose" and it is undoubtedly a blog yet it gets approved without as much as a whisper? Yup, people on here sure are objective...
Bye bye GT. Your days are well and truly numbered. Simbin >>>> Polyphony Digital
What? Cliffy B is hot - I would.
Do you even know how things are submitted to this site? Oh, you're not a contributor (of any sort, I must add) so you just assume its a faceless corporation out there to fulfil all your conspiracy needs?
