Well, no. If I'm unsure about a game why would I pay full price for it? If I have confidence a game will be great then sure I'll pay full price but if I'm on the fence I will wait for a sale or for it to arrive on PS Plus. £70 isn't exactly small change these days so I choose my games wisely.
Days Gone was a game I was unsure about so I didn't buy it at launch. But for me a game like Ratchet and Clank for example, I have more confidence it's go...

A friend of mine had to do that recently because his DualSense had drift as well. Took about 3 weeks but been OK since he got it back.
Mine has been fine, apart from the white has discoloured badly so it already looks about 10 years old even though it's only 5 months old.
Sorry bro but whether a game is "bad" or not is irrelevant really. Everyone has their own tastes. Many people would say The Last of Us is the best thing since sliced bread but I still didn't like it.

That's because they don't have any new games whereas Sony and Nintendo do
I still collect snes and mega drive games. Of course deterioration is a factor but this takes many years. I have no issue with a digital backup but I do have an issue with digital replacing physical because of this very reason. If the servers get shut down then they're gone.
