Although I thought it looked graphically excellent I thought something looked kind of...off about the character models. Not sure what it was, but they just didn't look right.

They're still first party though, regardless of exclusivity. They're developed by PlayStation owned studios so that makes them first party.
As for exclusivity, they are PlayStation games first and foremost. Yes they'll come to PC, but not for probably at least a year after they've been on PS5. By that time the bulk of the sales will have already been made. PC is just supplemental

I agree. Each to their own but I also found the gameplay to be bland. I barely did any of the side missions because they were all so similar. It was all style over substance imo. Looks nice but has no depth. Miles Morales does improve on this slightly, in that the side missions are a little more varied. I still found them tedious though, so gave most of them a miss. The standard gameplay structure is more or less identical though.

It's not for me personally but I wouldn't criticise anyone who played it and enjoyed it. Nobody is saying it's suddenly a good game, this article is about the enhancement in load times over the PS4 version, and for that it is impressive.
Yeh it's shit. I prefer an xbox series x so I can bang on all the time about how much better my atari 2600 games look in 64k resolution and 480 frames per second while simultaneously saying PS5 has no games even though it has many more exclusives than the competition, with more on the horizon.

I think the PS5 version of Miles morales and spider man remastered got it right. 1080p with rt on at 60fps was a good compromise for me. It still looks good, ran very well but still had the benefit of Ray tracing.
Resolution is unimportant to me, I'm much more concerned with performance and RT is a nice to have but if I can't have both, then I'll always go for performance
