Comparisons are inevitable, but they are both aimed at different demographics. There's room in this world for both machines
Way to compare a multi plat game to an Xbox exclusive.
Are you implying that PS5 wouldn't be capable of running FH5?
Come on now.
That's good, but can it run them WELL?
I have one reserved and am really looking forward to it. I'm not expecting to play the latest games on it, that's what my PS5 is for. But I do have a decent sized Steam library, and plenty of those games I haven't even started, so looking to dive in with the Deck
I never actually played it. I think I heard too many bad things about it - moving in a more action orientated direction took away a lot of the suspense it seems, and it was this that put me off, so I didn't ever play it.
Well, it's not. But it IS the biggest gaming market in the world I believe.
10 million in 9 months. With supply constraints.
No. The Nintendo Switch is the Nintendo Switch for nerds.
The Deck is for PC gamers who want the flexibility of playing the Steam library without being tied to a laptop or desktop.
Give it here. I need to judge this for myself
EA
Yeah I don't really get it. I know Valve have a sketchy history when it comes to hardware but to me it seems the Steam Deck gets far more right than it gets wrong.
Of course we've only seen games playing on prototype systems but already it seems really polished and well thought out. I have faith that the Steam Deck will be a success. I've reserved a 512gb model and the estimated availability is Q2 2022 (UK) so plenty of time to see how it progresses in the comin...
Never heard of it. Then again I don't game on mobile.
Guess I wasn't missing out then
Get off, it's mine. MINE I tells ya!
512gb. There isn't a 1tb version
That's fine, I still want one. It appeals to me far more than the Switch ever did
Very impressive
It's for me
No because my alienware PC is quite old and isn't really capable any more, I don't want the expense of getting a new PC for gaming but I also don't want to lose access to my Steam library so the Deck is the perfect solution to that.
I have an old alienware PC which I no longer use, and tbh can't be bothered with the expense and messing about with upgrades but I still have a big Steam library. I also love handhelds so the Steam Deck is perfect for me.
You're not bursting any bubble. Anyone with a brain knows the Steam Deck isn't a Switch killer, but that doesn't mean it can't be successful in its own right. I can't wait for mine
