Why is the CMA so concerned with protecting Sony’s Call of Duty revenue? Why isn’t their any other mention of the other Activision IPs? Sony doesn’t need Call of Duty on their system to maintain its market lead. I wouldn’t be surprised if Microsoft treated Call of Duty like Minecraft.
Timed exclusivity is often due to platform holder either partially funding a title or paying an exclusivity fee. However, some games are exclusive to one platform due to limited development resources.
I beat crash 4 a few months ago. Good heavens is it punishing at times. After some the levels my palms were sweaty, knees weak, arms were heavy …. I still enjoyed the most of levels despite the difficulty. The visuals, animations and humour was also great too
I think Platinum is still developing too many projects at once. Some of their projects simply get more focus and development resources. If Platinum manages to burn Nintendo [and Sega] with Bayonetta 3, the company will no longer be an attractive development partner for major publishers.
Exactly, an example of a hypothetical anti-competitive merger/acquisition would be either any of the tech giants (MS, Apple, Google and Amazon) combing.
The Tattoos are part of a Wrestler’s likeness. A tattoo artist can’t claim the image of person who has consented to their likeness being used in a game.
The website is probably just to counter the claims against the buyout being made by Sony and Google. Neither Sony and Google are in any real position to state the activison-blizzard buyout hurts them or is anti-competitive .
Sony is bigger in than Microsoft in terms of game revenue, and console sales. Song is only worried about losing revenue form Call of Duty. Sony has the influence, funds and industry leading studios to make a Call of Duty competitor where said franchi...
The PS5 versions of PS4 games are very much cash grabs. Considering how compatible the PS5 is with the PS4 and the usage of scalable assets, and the general lack of new content. Sony’s PS5 ports shouldn’t be full priced. The Last of Us part 1 even released with less content than the PS4 remaster and original PS3 release. Yet Sony charged full price for it!
The bigbadtoystore has the Dread Samus for $124.99 US. https://www.bigbadtoystore....
My list would include:
1. Bioshock
2. Call of Duty: Black Ops
3. Far Cry 3
4. Halo 4
5. Wolfenstein: The New Order
Send the cases back to be recycled. The discs can be rewritten too.
The Taliban is so violent, dogmatic, bigoted, and sexist that it shouldn’t exist.
Ever since Battlefield 1 the Battlefield franchise has gotten less-and-less immersive. The combination of historical inaccuracy [when set in an historical setting] and imbalanced classes is what drove me away from the series. I however, didn’t start playing battlefield until battlefield 4, so I can’t speak for long-term fans of series.
Sony is only trying to protect the revenue it’s gains from Call of Duty sales and MTs. Even after Microsoft buys Activision-Blizzard, the company will likely still be behind Tencent and Sony when it comes to annual gaming related revenue. So I don’t see how MS purchasing Activision-Blizzard would lead to the company having a monopoly. Also PlayStation is much more dominant than Xbox in Europe.
I don’t care for Sea of Thieves either. However, several people I know play the game regularly. Sea of Thieves has been getting updates for 4 years now, so obviously people play it. In terms of sales and engagement, Sea of Thieves is probably Rare’s most successful games.
Sony in terms of games revenue is ahead of Apple and Microsoft. Sony is usually second only to Tencent in terms of revenue. Jim Ryan is whining about the Microsoft’s Activision buyout because he wants to maintain Call of Duty as a revenue source for Sony. His complaints about the buy out aren’t due to how the buy out will affect consumers. The removal of Call of Duty titles from PlayStation could lead to a number of consumers switching platforms. Jim Ryan is scared of this due to potential lo...
Firstly, the interview was with Matt Booty, not Phil Spencer. Secondly, Smash Bros Ultimate was developed by Bandai Namco Studios (obviously more than one studio) and Sora LTD.
Neuroshock makes perfect sense for the game. The name Prey fit the original game. The same can’t be said about the 2017 title. Another corny alternate title for Prey (2017) that I can think of is “Nightmare on Talos.” Its too bad Bethesda named the game Prey to spite Human Head Studios and 3D Realms.
Yah, I think Neuro Shock is a great proper name for Prey (2017). It pays homage to System Shocks whilst enforcing the significance of Neuromods.

Voice actors are contract workers. For them to make a living they either have to land an iconic role or do multiple voice acting jobs. Hellen’s Taylor gave Bayonetta an iconic voice. Fans expect to hear her when they play Bayonetta. Therefore, she has earned the right to demand higher pay for her work.
