Maybe the game went way over budget. It was suppose to originally release in 2014.
Gears 1 is already on PC.
@PhucSeeker They were marketing the game as Xbox One only a few weeks ago.
I already have Alan Wake, I wil likely give away my code.
The only one that is surprising is Quantum Break
ReCore - Likely needed the extra sales
Killer Instinct - Old
Sea of Thieves- MMO, makes sense, plus cross play
Halo Wars - RTSs are best played with a mouse and keyboard
Gears 4- Doubt it
The Xbox one now currently has only 2 true exclusives for the year. If Gears of War 4 gets announced for PC the console will basically have no flag ship title. "The greatest Xbox line up in history " tag should not be used anymore.
Marketing Quantum Break as an Xbox One exclusive for 3 years only to make it launch the same day on PC is insulting. Putting the big name Xbox one games on PC diminishes the console.
I don't get why this game would get a simulatanrous release with Windows 10. Quantum Break looks like game that could push console sales early in the year .If Gears 4 gets a Windows 10 release, the XB1 will officially have no flagship exclusive for 2016. If MS wants to support PC so heavily, why not bring back their RTS franchises like Rise of Nations/Legends and Age of Empires/Mythology.
Hopefully the XB1 has some true exclusive announced at the February event and E3. ...
I bought an Xbox 1 in 2014 for this game ( that was before it's numerous delays). why on earth would some one sell a PC to buy a console ?
To be fair they never owned Dead Rising and Ryse only came to PC after MS and Crytek had a 'falling out. The console should have true exclusives every year.
My issue is that they announced the games as XB1 exclusive, marketed it as XB1 only for 3 years, only to announce it for PC 2 months from release. What games are next Scalebound, Gears 4, Crackdown ? A console should have true exclusives (not just Halo 5 and Forza)!
Marketing this game for years as an Xbox One exclusive only to release it on PC is a slap in the face . Releasing on Windows 10 will generate more sales. But putting both ReCore (also announced as an XB1 exclusive) and Quantum Break on PC diminishes the Xbox brand .
I wouldn't call the cover awful...Remember The Orange Box. The cover is just generic.I played the mp alpha and the game felt like a breath of fresh air.
Alan Wake was a late bloomer; it has sold 5 million copies after being released on PC and having deals with Xbox live gold.
One of the authors reasons for listing the game is because it's not a good as Halo 2 and Halo:CE.
-"Mistake number two wasn’t Rare’s fault, but the first-person genre had changed a bit. Halo was the wave of the future, and it seemed that Master Chief had tea-bagged Joanna Dark before she even got out of the gate."
For its' time perfect dark zero was one of the best looking launch titles. The mp was also well regarded, the single player level...
Perfect Dark Zero is not a terrible game.
Microsoft is underusing these two IPs. Mech assault 3 with online destruction comparable to crackdown 3 would be awesome.
@Kleptic The original doom guy didn't have power armor. Classic Doomguy's look might have moderately influenced the look of MC. Now it looks like Master Chiefs design may have heavily influenced the new Doom guy's armor.
Agreed; Doomguy just looks too much like Master Chief(or a spartan).
Now this is bad box art. https://upload.wikimedia.or...
Doom guy looks a lot like master chief . In the alpha mp the soldiers moved and looked liked Spartans. The alpha mp felt like halo mixed with quake.
There is nothing wrong with MS bring more titles to PC. This would lead to larger sales and more profit, which would further lead to more games. However a game shouldn't be marketed as an Xbox One exclusive in the manner Quantum Break was. They should be much more up front in which games are Xbox One only and which ones aren't.
