No, removing the disc drive reduces the multimedia functionality of the console. Also, a console without a disk drive, would be only marginally cheaper than a disc supporting counterpart.

Not to sound pessimistic. I do think the character abilities and perks, will cause imbalances that will reduce the comepetitive nature of the game's arena. I firmly believe that perks, character abilities and loadouts, do not work in games with long kill times, like Quake.
I would replace Locke vs Master Chief, with descending down the Guardian, or arriving on Sanghelios.
Nintendo is well known for having high licensing fees. Also, the manufacturing cost of Switch physical copies, is likely higher than the blurays used for XB1 & PS4.

I never understood why romance options were so prominent in mass effect. I'm also shocked, at how many ME fans choose to romance aliens. Garrus as cool as he is, comes off as a bird monster to me. Over all the romance in Mass Effect, to me is very corny. Turians kiss, despite lacking lips...... Why there is big fuss over homosexual relations in game where a human can romance a bird monster is beyond me.
I beat the game and every boss solo (except Nameless King, who I took out with a friend).
Ryse wouldn't cost very much for MS to purchase, the IP isn't that big. MS should purchase some the IPs they funded and help create, notablely Sunset Overdrive, Splosion Man and a few others. I'm surprised Crytek hasn't sunk yet. The company has been struggling since 2013, when they lost funding from MS & EA.
Crytek ? MS would be better off building multiple, studios than purchasing Crytek. Crytek is a mismanaged, relatively inefficient company, with a so-so track record.
It seems the fact that the Scorpio isn't a replacement for the Xbox One, hasn't sunk in.

That makes sense. I assume the eSRAM was removed due to heat production issues. Even with the higher base RAM speed. Wouldn't the direct access and low latency of the eSRAM still benefit the improved Scorpio specs?
The general consensus is that it is not. I have and Wii U. I think it is a gimmicky console, that was dated out of the gate, overpriced and had questionable support. The GameCube, SNES, NES and N64 are all better consoles. With better hardware for their time, less gimmicks and better support.
If base game is made for the vanilla Xbox one, and simply coded to take advantage of th Scorpio's higher specs. I don't see why the lack of eSRAM in the Scorpio would be an issue, since it's main ram is faster.
