2) it has Silent Hill 2 Syndrome. not every SH game has to be about sins you've committed or inner demons you are battling with. it's lazy, uninspired, and unoriginal.
is anyone really surprised by this? MS thought that Halo Infinite was ready for launch in 2020. had it not been for the vocal fanbase it would have launched in an even worse state than what we got in 2021. something is very off over at MS. i don't know what it considers to be a quality game, but it is WILDLY different from the likes of Sony and Nintendo. either MS is woefully ignorant of what a high-quality AAA game should be, or there is an intention to misdirect, create hype, and launch...
Not really hard to believe, tbh. I've been to Japan many times and in all of their games and electronics shops, the Xbox is relegated to a small portion of a single shelf. The market for it just isn't there.
I can't even trace a rational line of thinking where one VR spinoff would make me worry about every spinoff being in VR only. This headline absolutely boggles the mind. Especially when we've seen leaked footage of a Horizon multiplayer game...which is a spinoff...and not in VR...
It could work a lot like FF7R - a hybrid of both real-time and turn-based combat. The combo-stringing with timed button presses would be interesting to see with a more modern approach.

Square has Dragon Quest, Octopath Traveler, and Bravely Default for turn-based JRPGS. I'm fine with FF becoming more action-oriented.
