can't let yourself get upset at this joke review.
Just laugh. It feels better.

Score scales reflect educational grading scores. 7 = ok 8 = good 9 = great 10 = amazing
If you're using a 5 star scale its different. The main problem I have is with aggregate review sites treating a 3/5 like a 6/10. They aren't the same.
It always annoyed me with how easy AC is
It's not about the score, it's about the lack of professionalism
It's between this and Xenoblade Chronicles for me. And we still have Skyrim, Zelda, and Uncharted yet.. I also have yet to play Batman. What an amazing year for games.
Wow... Awesome I was expecting a more lukewarm reception to this... I'll have to remember this one when I finally finish Batman, skyrim, dark souls, xenoblade, Uncharted and skyward sword...
Holy ****ing Crybabies.
Really there aren't many superheros that would work as well as Batman for a video game. First, Batman has an incredible assortment of gadgets, an plethora of close combat skills, and uncanny detective skills, allowing for a level of game variety that couldn't be matched by anything.
If RS were to branch out to other superhero games, I think it would make more sense to incorporate a team of heroes to ramp up the variety, like Fantastic Four or something.
Gamers complain way too much. This year has been one of the best I can recall in a long time.
Cry all you want about DLC and online passes and not enough new IPs, bottom line is there have been a lot of AAA games this year that have been a blast to play. If you disagree, then you're simply jaded to the medium and you should find yourself a new hobby.
Tactics Ogre is great but its a SRPG. IMO its a vastly different kind of game from a JRPG, which yes, has stagnated this gen, save for a tiny handful of pretty good JRPGs and just one or two truly great ones.
I think the die-hard JRPG fans have just been forced to have much lower standards that they don't even realize how mediocre so many of the games are these days.
Of course, there may be some other great JRPGs that the west hasn't seen, and in tha...
Agreed, really no offense but this is a terrible, terrible list. I have been an AVID handheld gamer since the Gameboy OG.
edit:
I find it hilarious that the DS and 3DS have the exact same number of games in the list despite the DS having about 100x as many good games.
Also almost half of the list is gameboy and game gear. Far too much nostalgia for my taste.
10 = absolute highest recommendation
10 =/= perfection
Game looks brilliant, why don't we all just wait and experience it for ourselves before jumping all over this guy and crying wolf.
7/10 is a solid score from Sterling.
And he's actually a very good reviewer, well spoken and covers all areas of each game giving praise where it is due. He can be a bit opinionated as all reviewers can be
The reason why peeps here think he's so terrible is because they focus too much on the score.
He goes by a different rating scale than most of the industry where 9 = amazing 8 = good and anything lower is mediocre at best. Here is what the...
"when do they not"
Funny how the two great Kirby games on the DS were released too early and too late. Maybe more sad and unfortunate than funny.
Monolith Soft deserves a nod for making the best JRPG in the last 10 years, possibly the best of all-time (I'm not finished with it but the impression its making is unlike any RPG I can remember.
@klecser
I actually work for one of the major carriers and I assure you no one is being tricked. A lot of people upgrade because they break their phone, the battery won't charge as well, or they just plain hate it. If we stopped offering subsidized equipment for contract agreements, especially in these situations, we would lose an absurd amount of business. So your point about cost is absolutely moot. The smartphone market dwarfs the handheld market and smartphones ca...
1. Its stupid to hate video game console manufacturers
2. Many Nintendo fans own multiple consoles
3. Any game like smash bros is a plus in my book
