I'd like to think some games such as Mirror's Edge Catalyst or Homefront The Revolution had potential on paper, despite both of their proceeding games performing below expectations. But it seems that lessons weren't learned by the developers and for various reasons, the same results occurred.

For now it is only a rumour, though I'm not sure whether it is a good idea or not until I know more about the game.
