If MS and major developers like Bioware start focussing on GaaS, does this mean that gamers will be forced to subscribe in order to be able to play these titles?
TLG is in my backlog, along with Ico and SOTC. I hope to get around to playing them eventually.
I find the most frustrating part about video games is not having enough money to buy them.
Sadly, we won't be able to hear Miyu Matsuki voicing Chihaya again.
With over 6m in sales, introducing microtransactions is a no-brainer to rake in even more cash.
I think part of the answer lies in the lack of exclusives, the other side of it is to do with MS themselves. Sony stuck with the PS3, releasing the PS3 slim and continued to support it. This gen, MS is about to unleash 'The Beast' and although I'm not saying MS will abandon One owners like they did with the OG Xbox, but with the marketing focus squarely on the 'most powerful games console', will some of them begin to feel like the poorer, weaker sibling?
That is pretty decent for a start.
Agents of Mayhem hype train? 'Broke the internet'? Sounds like someone is trying to hard to gain clicks.
Sales aren't important. What's important is how many zombies have been killed since DR4 was released. /s
I don't know what the game is about, but the trailer looks very interesting.
Joseph Stallion sounds like a porn actors name.
I applaud what he has achieved. That is some major dedication. I suppose it would be a nice gesture from Sony to acknowledge his efforts, but there isn't really an obligation for them to do so.
Sony has made the right moves this gen to put the PS4 on top.
The game doesn't need Miles Morales, but the character is there. Why does the author want the storyline to include the death of Peter Parker?
Having never played the first two games, I'm unsure about picking this up despite the mostly positive reviews. In any case, I've got a huge backlog to get through and don't really want to buy a game I might never play.
Loved Tennis Cup on the Atari ST.
Perhaps developers dumb their games down because the focus groups complain, and they want to appeal to more people to sell more copies, or the developers themselves don't want to spend time on complex game mechanics etc.
You didn't like any of them? Personally, I enjoyed Spider-Man 1 & 2 on the PS1, and the first two games on the PS2. never played any of the others though.
I don't really agree with pre-order DLC, but If I pre-order this, do I get to use Private Beta in the campaign or multiplayer?
In some games, I like the ability to design my own character. I can choose race, gender, skin colour, and other cosmetic touches to the avatar that represents me in game, rather than be forced to play a race or gender for the sake of diversity and inclusion.
Story based games like Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, or Tomb Raider, I have no issue with playing as CJ or Lara Croft, because they are part of the story rather than a 'blank slate'.
