Whether XB1 users like it or not, by selling a 'Kinectless' console MS has fragmented the user base and this shows developers that even MS isn't willing to support it 100%. Optional accessories haven't done all that well in past gens.
Guess I have to go with the standard edition
I was interested in this game back when it was first announced and it is great news to hear that it is still in development.
Yeah. Destiny does look good. I'm so tempted by the Ghost Edition.
Sony is clearly banking on Destiny to be a success.
Ghost Replica: This is your motion-sensing Ghost, featuring lights and audio from the game. 'Wizard from the Moon' maybe...?
If the next COD was multiplayer only, and cost $49, would you still buy it?
This. Too many of us talk about these 'unique' games and lament the numerous COD clones even to the point of declaring on this site 'I'll never buy another one' only to come back later to write 'I paid $60 for this dog turd but I won't be buying the next one'. The sales of Fifa and COD are some of the biggest reasons why developers create COD or generic brown shooters.
Disaster Report 4 was all but finished and they cancelled it? I can understand the reasons but it must have been a difficult decision to make.
Oh, Skittles!
I think that Morpheus is going to turn out a bit like the first Kinect camera. It'll sell but will ultimately be held back by the specs of the current gen consoles. Perhaps the next gen will be where VR begins to match our expectations.
As for MS, they seem to have things tightly under wraps, but if VR takes off then without a product like Morpheus or Oculus already 'out there', then I wonder how far behind they might be? AFAIK, Facebook and Sony seem to be leading in VR ...
I dunno. A Halo bundle would do well with those who haven't jumped in since the 180's
I can see the Halo Collection giving a boost to the XB1, but I'd rather see more new IP's than a whole slew of remaster games, especially COD. This gen is meant to be about innovation and gameplay, not bringing us the same game with a shiny new coat. I can appreciate the Halo Collection, and TLOU, but I personally prefer the practice be limited.
I'm pretty sure that there aren't that many games about the Vietnam War. I do recall playing Lost Patrol on the Atari but that was a long time ago. Don't think it was strictly a shooter though.
It is one of the best games for PS3, and I think it will be one of the best on PS4 (IMO).
But, do they stock Battletoads?
Fanboys exist on all platforms (PS, MS, Nintendo and PC). Some people do it for fun, and some people really do appear to have an overly emotional attachment to their choice of gaming device. Seems like human nature. Can't we all just get along?
This is likely the reason why Indie games have become very important to the platform holders. Making AA and AAA titles can't be cheap.
I've got high hopes for Driveclub. But I'm less sure about games such as The Last Guardian, Agent, and even FFXV. I'll wait patiently for them but will it be worth it?
I feel bad for the employees affected by this. I'm guessing other studios will experience difficulty this gen, but is it because of DLC, rising costs of development, bad management, or a combination?
