With their 10 year plan, hopefully Bungie will allow travel to the entire solar system and beyond, then go to the enemies home planet and finish the fight.
I don't think Sony could've outbid MS for this so it must've been a combination of Bungie wanting more Sony gamers and perhaps they were convinced that Sony would be the leading console this gen?

The PS4 needs JRPG's built for it alone but with the large install base of the PS3 developers are making cross-gen games or last gen only. Not enough reason to buy a PS4 yet for Japanese gamers.
Activision and EA will continue to follow the sales and why shouldn't they if people continue to buy it. It means that they want the COD's and Battlefield games. Catering to the masses is just business.

Exactly. MS is padding the numbers in order to not scare off buyers. If a product is shown to be selling poorly to a competitor, consumers may shy away from purchasing it fearing lack of support and a possibility that the product will be dumped at some point.
And don't forget the Master Chief Collection!
I don't know if it'll ever overtake the PS4 in North America but the sales should improve when the big exclusives are released and before Christmas.
It looks like a mash up of Mirror's Edge and Left4Dead, which is a good thing!
I can't wait to see their dynamic weather system in action. I personally believe this should be a standard feature in all racing games in this gen.
The COD series is one of the most successful in terms of sales, along with the GTA series and will likely to continue to be because of the reasons you stated. Games like Populous, Civilisation and other construction/god games are great but some gamers just want something more simplistic and FPS games are by and large quite basic. I personally hope to see more games from developers that aren't all about killing in this gen.
