The problem I have is that there are a ton of games that are released. And then there are a lot of older games that have really dropped in price. If a gamer can wait for one year, the price of a title will drop 75% on sale and usually with the DLC with the title. These changes in price because of competition are a great thing and have changed my spending habits.
I wouldn’t mind having a great core game for $20.00 and then buy the next episode for $10.00.
I disagree with the author on some of his points.
First off Rift is not a WoW clone. Just because you go ghost form when you die, don’t make it a WoW clone. If that is the case then WoW is an EQ clone.
WoW is a very good game, I enjoy it. But I also enjoy a lot of other games……
I have to agree with the author on one point. The consoles developers are not using the technology available.
Let’s look at facts. Eventually graphics will hit a peak in the near future and never get any better. So developers need to focus their energy in other areas of gaming.
Make a head that sucks controller with a Jenna Jameson game. And you couldn’t keep the product on the shelves longer than an hour. Most gamers would buy a extra controller just in case...
I am a PC gamer only, but if my Steam games can carry over to PS3, I’d buy a PS3 like yesterday.
If I was a developer I wouldn’t hype anything. It’s like a boxer that talks the talk, but loses the match, even by a little, it seems he really lost hard.
However if you have a solid product, the reviewers and word of mouth can do wonders.
If it is a good story and a good game, it doesn't matter. However if a company wants to make that killer game, they will follow in Boiware's footsteps. There is so much that is tied together in the Mass Effect games and once the 3rd one is done. I will play Mass Effect all the way through to the last one.
MUST RESIST READING THIS.......................... ....AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I want to be totally surprised and not reading any of it. But I will comment on it, lol............
As of today, having that on my resume might not be a bad idea. Hell someone is spending those bucks on that gold!
I have always said that games are like food, everyone has their own taste in each. This is another example of it. I would rather ride my bike outside and see the sites. But to each their own and it isn’t my money or my right to judge others buying habits……………
I had no clue that the gold farmers where bringing in that amount of cash...still can't stand them. Maybe I should join them!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome read, very well done. Going to play tonight...........and kill Guardians, muhahahah.............
I think that Mass Effect needs to stay single player. But I would love to see a multiplayer stand alone game in the Mass Effect universe, Mass Effect Battlefront!
I was going to say the same thing. And I WISH I had the time to do something like that. What this guy did was F-in hard.
Why not make a downloadable expansion to Dirt 2?
I remember the C-64 it wasn't that good. I'll play my 2011 custom PC and imagine playing Lode Runner back in 85.
Good read!
I'll buy Shogun 2, next sale!
This is by far one of the best RTS games out there. I put it in the same category as Company of Heroes for level of fun. There is a ton of strategy to be had with this game and any RTS fan would be a fool to pass up on the demo. I have bought all the Men of War games in the past and was not a huge fan of them. In my opinion they were mediocre at best. But this one is different and I am glad I took the chance and bought it………………..
3DO was the biggest pile of crap and should have been on the list. Good hardware but crappy execution for software.............
I bought the first one and I liked it. But something else came out and S8 gathered dust. I will check this one out and maybe reinstall the first one and give it a chance.
