A single player game should never EVER require always online connection to be able to work!
I refuse to buy a game with such requirement!
@DonteDemonSlayer
I'm completely aware that the games won't be able to use the 8GB of GDDR5, I don't how much it will be available for just game, but I'm thinking dev will be able to use up to 5GB and the other 3GB will be for the OS, social features and recording game play etc. Still this is a HUGE jump from 512MB ;-)
Wonders has been done with consoles that only have 512MB! Imagine what dev will be able to accomplish now. I'm interested to see open world games :-)
The thing about you having to be online to be able to play the game is horse s@#$! I refuse to buy a game that has that type of requirement!
Yesterday I've watched "Up at Noon" from IGN (funny show) they interviewed SimCity producer Jason Haber and he was asked if the server would be able handle the traffic at 7:10 mark. I would like to see them interviewing him again now lol
So have you played or you are just bashing for fun? :-P
And if so in which system did you played it on?
That is indeed an awesome feature, I have a capture video card and record my gaming and love it, but I'm wondering if there's a time limit like you can only upload 30 secs at the time or something similar.
Either way that is a very welcome feature :-)
I'm really excited about PS4, with that amount of fast ram it will make everything so smooth, be able to download/upload, switch between games and all seamlessly.
I'm thinking Sony wants to see what Microsoft is gonna come up with to do some adjustments, so I hope Microsoft try to push the limits :-)
Exciting times my friends! :-D
@TheThirdMan I own a PS3 and Xbox360, and love them both. The PS4 got me excited, the conference blew me away. I hope Microsoft doesn't hold back, and give free online gaming, probably won't happen but if they insist in charging for online gaming I will not buy their next system!
Yeah I felt the same way, great job to the person that made this, but those several jumps in the beginning just got me dizzy :-P
Exactly! In my opinion Sony did an awesome job today, specially by confirming that some games will be released for PS3 as well, so people that just bought their PS3 won't feel left out!
Exciting times! :D
What I hate the most is quickscoping, so annoying :-$
I probably wouldn't buy it as I already have a beast of a gaming computer that is hooked up to my 55" LEDTV in my living room, but for everyone that doesn't have a lot of room this seems to be a great option.
I also like that it is upgradable, I think the console makers should make consoles upgradable in some way.
I own a PS3 original model 80GB, a Xbox360 that came out in 2010, used to have the wii. I just love them all, I don't discriminate...
I'm with you on this one, I'm not blown away by this, good effort by the fan who made it tho.
When I bought the SNES back in 1993, the first game I bought with was Star Fox then Street Fighter 2.
Both are amazing games, then when I bought the N64 back in 1998 I didn't hesitate and got Star Fox 64 as well, just love those games!
Great memories :-)
I've got it on release date, and I'm enjoying it quite of bit, I do not care for single player so not sure if it is good or not, but the multiplayer is way better than MW3, maps are awesome. The thing that I don't like is the menu to choose your weapons and perks, is quite different from MW3 and it takes a while to get used to it.
PS2 was better specs wise, Sega Saturn couldn't handle 3d games as well as PS2 and was lot harder to program, so it lost a lot of 3rd party support! Just do a little research and you will see, google is your friend ;-)
There is always a disclaimer, fine print that allows them to get away with it :-\
It is more likely to be 8 core cpu and 16 threads, that's more believable anyways.
Nowadays that's overkill, we need more demanding games, I can't justify a sli setup as I can play everything at 1080p.
But if I had plenty of cash I wouldnt even think twice :)
lol thanks for the laugh! :-P
