Agreed, exploration felt rewarding, and getting upgrades or armor pieces for your build felt super rewarding. Do wish the game had more varied and better armor designs though. That’s never been one of Dragon Age’s strong suits though outside of Dragon Age 2.
Makes sense, a lot of the bigger multiplayer games came out over the past decade are still being played to this day. And a lot of the big hits in 2024 were single player releases which most players drop after completion.
It’s Capcoms Job to bring in a new audience, meanwhile the old fans can enjoy one more opportunity with a beloved franchise and do their best to entice newcomers with their excitement.
Astrobot was a near perfect game. I really enjoyed Wukong but that game had plenty of flaws. Poor level design, lazy invisible walls, technical issues. Chapter 3 alone was super tedious. It’s still a great game but Astro was a more enjoyable package through and through.
This and Okami. Back to back surprises!
God I can’t imagine just thinking Samurai and Monsters is all Onimusha has. May aswell just make a white haired character called Gerald in Monster Hunter and call the game Witcher. Seriously what a dumb take.
It’s hilarious how many people want this game to fail. Gaming hasn’t changed outside of capitalism ruining the standards that dictate a games success. But gamers over the last decade have turned into pathetic losers, that cry wolf at everything instead of just enjoying games.
Why would we have a season 2 character leaked but not the final character for season 1… -_-
Or how about studios focus on projects that they feel passionate about, and not be forced to make something they have little interest in. It shows in the final product.
Literally bought digital because they said that and now we’re getting physical discs it’s frustrating having to double dip.
Excited as hell for this game, Inquisitions, Trespassers ending has been sitting in the back of my head since it came out!
Literally the reason I’m picking it up…
More Variety in the open world is honestly all it needs. And maybe an improvement on the stealth system. The combat was perfect but the stealth was super vanilla.
The fact they got the atmosphere down in the first hour was enough for me. They deserve credit.
I’m not expecting this to be better than the original, but I’m hoping to get some semblance and enjoy it as a fresh experience regardless of the purists. Been a Silent Hill fan since the PS1 days and I’m glad the series is getting some spotlight.
Good luck to the series that historically sells better and better? Mirage which was considered mid outsold Odyssey and Origins, Valhalla which online is considered one of the worst in the series is the best selling one. Shadows location has enough hype around it that these petty online squabbles won’t affect it. Most people are looking forward to both.
How would the GaaS push affect the developers working on SP games?
Yes. His story has been told.
I think the constant remasters highlights another issue. And that’s the budget and time it takes to create new AAA games being far too big. The reason we have so many remasters is straight funding cheap products to make money in between new releases. New releases used to be way more common every 2-3 years now it’s practically double that, and studios need to bring in money during that downtime.
This whole comment section just shows how reactionary gamers are. Y’all are sad.
