True. The Xbox 360 is not doing well in Japan, with increasingly dropping sales figures. Even with Kinect.
-People want to buy something good
-That something is suddenly available at a cheaper price
-They now have to spend less to get it
How does that not increase the sales?
Unless you were being sarcastic?
'All Games Available On PSN Store'
I'm confused with this statement. Does this means that if you want to download something from the Store to your PSV, you WILL NEED to have a flash card inside the device, which ultimately means no internal storage?
@LightofDarkness
I agree. Most people see it purely as a game console only. They forget or are not aware that they can use their PS3 to do stuff such as stream your photos, music and video files from your PC straight to your TV living room, without plugging in anything.
But Sony has come A LONG WAY with the PS3. I don't think that there was ever in history a console that was priced at $599 at launch and survived throughout without dying and make a comebac...
It is a bit weird that the Vita (3G Model) costs more than the PS3. Understandable, but a bit weird to think about, in my opinion.
No Wi-Fi? Kind of a let down though. I guess if you need to download stuff for this PSP and happen to have a PS3, that's the way to go. But it's very cheap as well!
It would be too weird if they suddenly made a price cut or change strategies because Sony cut prices. They will stick to their plan. If there is a price cut, it probably won't be due to Sony, this would have been planned.
@BattleAxe -
For a minute there I thought that comment was directed directly at me. :-)
lol
!(Agree or Disagree if you Agree);
Same here. The fact that they had a demo of Resistance Burning Skies (impressive by the way) up and running just get me even more excited for this device!
I can simply say that it was very impressive...Well set, quite a cinematic experience. It was thrilling to see him run after, no, CHASE the airplane and Elena comes along...they get closer and get closer as the airplane is starting to take off...awesome!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but they said that it has already won over 300 E3 awards already?
Mind you, the Xbox 360 is still available for $199 and currently still cheaper than the PS3. But if you compare both cheapest versions, the PS3 offers a bit more value for the money, even if it costs $50 more.
Yes, $199 would be a good price, but if you look at the amount of stuff included inside your PS3, $249 is a freaking good price. Sales are bound to pick up after this price cut.
Higher priced SKUs are usually due to higher storage. But since you can upgrade/replace your PS3's HDD for ridiculously cheap prices, I'd say this is an incredible value to consumers!
Even better: PS3 price drop - from $299 to $249 bucks!
The Uncharted 3 footage was awesome!
Oh I hear ya! Let's hope for a solid release date for the Vita and the price! Gosh I'm excited!
Edit: Oops, we already know the price. Let's just hope for more details as well, including surprises on the PS3.
IT STARTS IN 10 MINUTES. So Eastern time: 1:18-20 PM.
Well the user base in North America for the Xbox 360 is huge. In my opinion, the Xbox 360 bran is heavily associated and identified with Shooters genres and this can be seen in its flagship titles such as Halo and Gears of War. This coupled with the fact that CoD is advertised as if it belongs on the 360 (because DLC goes there first) makes these preorder numbers understandable.
Also given Activision's track record of how horrible Black Ops was on PC and PS3 vs the 360, s...
Same here. It's not like these copies run out. I go to BestBuy, they always have copies available.
Although some people might consider the incentive to pre-order a game to get stuff such as bonus DLC, good for them. It's not really my thing. If a game releases, I walk to the nearest shop and buy it.
Oh god, the horrible images I'm seeing of you trying to complete that challenge. Good luck beastgamer!
It might have been struggling against Xbox 360, but NOTHING compared to how much struggle the Xbox 360 has been experiencing in places like Japan.
