It just makes me wonder...what is seriously going on with people's heads?
Edit: This is a video game. Why do people go to such crazy lengths to do such things? Proof that once again people who don't fully understand the meaning of video games should just shut up and mind their business.
Just because you suddenly think that a video game is not good for you or your children doesn't mean that your decisions should mess with my entertainment. Learn to...
Precisely. I can't believe Microsoft actually said that Kinect is a device for hardcore games...clearly they DIDN'T do their research first.
It was bound to happen. The entire hype of being able to control a game with nothing but you body, the novelty, the very idea sounds awesome. Now look at sales....first 2 months, 8 millions were sold, and then the next 10 months, 2 millions were sold. Not a good pattern if you ask me.
I hope this teaches them (M...
After playing Red Dead Redemption, I'm inclined to disagree with you.
Haha yep. I still have my good old GTX 260 + Q8400 + 4GB DDR2...Not even DDR3 for god's sake! XD. I feel like my desktop is aging, but at least it can still play most games on my Steam account.
I was planning on buying one of the 5000 series but the 6000 then came out...and now a 7000 is being planned too?? Damn the PC world moves really fast. I'm gonna wait a bit before I upgrade the entire rig to something faster and better. Perhaps I could score myself a good deal ...
Precisely. The way they go about this is by first making every piece of hardware on the console proprietary, like their HDD. Why? Because they don't want the smart customers such as ourselves going around this restriction by getting a cheaper larger HDD that works just as fine.
This fear and need of wanting to controlling every thing just annoys me. It gives them an opportunity to charge you whatever they want because they control all the peripherals.

I love shooters, but please, god forbid the next gen isn't full of more generic shooters after shooters!!
Why didn't they do this SOONER THAN LATER???
Granted they took the controller and redesigned it, I love the 360 controller. It is a solid piece of hardware that is quite tough. I love that it fits in my hands comfortably. The only thing that sucks about it is the D-Pad and Microsoft's stupid decision of going proprietary on everything. Can't even open the thing to get it cleaned...need special T8 screwdrivers...screw them!
Precisely. The fact that they spent that much to advertise kinect, the initial high surge in sales (8 mil in 2 months) and then the slow stretch of 2 mil in the next 2 months shows that more people bought the device out of hype.
Agreed - If I remember correctly, Dead Rising had a horrible save system; didn't make it hard, it just made it freaking annoying knowing that you could lose hours wroth of progress.
Ah...good old giant-friendly Xbox controller. Damn that thing was massive in my tiny hands.
Portal 2 as No. 1. Interesting choice though.
The PC copy is currently on sale on Steam for $10.19 USD ($11.89 for both Portal 1 & 2). Although I'm pretty sure you could get a new PS3 copy for slightly more as that would be a better valued deal.
Dangerous times for my wallet began today! (Steam holiday sales & deals). I've already purchased 8 games. I couldn't resist..lol...and it's only the first day! Damn you Steam!!! XD
It actually means that your money was well spent on such a very good product. I don't regret dropping $59.99 on Skyrim. Not one bit. In terms of entertainment value, I can see myself playing this game for hundreds of hours in the months to come. I've only sank 35 hours into the game and I believe I haven't even scratched the surface.
$59.99 as a launch price for games these days is a lot of money. For that fact I can say that there are games out there absolutely ...
The PS3 launch was pretty bad for them. They had a piece of powerful hardware that arrived on the market late, expensive, hard to develop for and with little games available at launch.
Looking at how the PS Vita launch is shaping up to be, I say they've done tremendous improvements /learned lessons.
Kudos to them for giving indie developers free dev kits. They've already built up a large portfolio of 1st party studios so that they can launch READY wit...
Clearly Sony saw what happened with the PS3 when they arrived on the market late, expensive with very few games. They're obviously not going to repeat the same thing!
"The main quest seems great—and I'm sure it is!—but I've wandered so far from it that I don't know if I'll ever return"
This is precisely my situation. I have to learn to say "NO" to quest givers and strangers...but I can't say "NO" to exploration. I've honestly gone soo freaking far from the quest, I don't even know if I'll find time to come back and finish the main quest...but I'm loving every minute of it. X...
I know!...it's HARD not to buy a bundle that has like 12 games, 9 of which you've always wanted to play, all costing like $40. It's really hard to resist their deals...I honestly don't know how many games I would have bought at the end of this holiday season from Steam!
I have the money. My hard drive is ready.
One thing Steam is very good at is making me HAVE to buy something during their crazy sale periods. For example:
You could get RF: Armageddon for $19.99. Awesome...but then for $49.99, you could also get RF: Armageddon + 12 other THQ games...Including Homefront, Metro 2033 etc...how can I resist such a deal????? XD
For example both Mass Effect 1 and 2 are on sale for $10 ($4.99 Each!)...I recently sol...
Not only is he a racist bastard, but the last thing we would want from him is a game of himself.
LoL...quick, nobody tell this n00b what the proper spelling of the game is...he might get all signatures (doubt that) but even if he does, it will be for a totally different game. :D
