Quad core processor running at 3GHz is a good move. However the let down is the RAM. 768 MB...seriously?? I expected nothing less than 1GB. Heck, 4GB would be awesome. There's no excuse. Memory is not expensive as it used to be say in 2006.
Yes. Good hardworking people who bring their creative imaginations to life through video games. Studios ending just like that...it does suck.
I hope these guys and girls find some other projects/studios to join and continue to make what they love most.
What makes me sad is some of these games made by the studios are actually good. People would work hard on their ideas, take risks and bring them to us gamers through video games.

Well, that's what happens when you take your product and add half a billion dollars worth of advertising. Sad thing is there's still no compelling reason/game to buy this device.

From a gaming point, I agree. The whole thing to publishers could just prove to be easy cash/money. For the sake of innovation, if this trend continues I hope they stay far away from my gaming.
The last thing I want to be playing is a game plagued with lots of social features and microtransactions that should've never been there to begin with.
Apparently that's where the cash is.
If some cash/money hungry Sony exec can't make Sony shift its all its focus from the hard core base towards the causal market, they get pissed off, resign, then join the other side.

Just because some department leaders decide to call it quits doesn't mean everyone is abandoning ship. Sony will be fine.
Valve has been quiet for some time now. I wonder when we'll ever see an Half Life 3, although with the way things ended in Episode 2, I feel like they need to make ends meet in Episode 3 rather than a brand new HL 3.
Speaking of Half Life, I wonder how progress is coming along on the Black Mesa mod...
For newcomers, I say this is a fantastic deal. Been a PS+ user from the very start and it's been worth every penny. With it I've been able to play games that I otherwise hadn't played before. I get so much value and content out of the PS+ subscription.
I then look on the other side of the fence, at my Xbox 360 and its live gold subscription...then it baffles me as to how I just want to do the single simplest basic thing (play online) and it has to cost me more tha...
I hope not. We already have enough Kinect shovelware. I hope it is something of a first party studio to make games like GeOW 3 and the likes. They've got the resources. People would gladly welcome this idea more than another Kinect shovelware.

As for me, the wait for the Vita is just getting harder. Japan's launch is around the corner. I just JUST have to get through December and January...that's more than 60 days of agony!!

With the latest signs that we've been getting, I say Microsoft is gearing up to launch their next gen console. I hope Sony has something up their sleeves as well.
