Exactly as JellyJelly said it.

The engine being used is the same, but how people use it to create their stuff is different.

They're probably using the free version on Crytek's website. The paid version costs a hefty $1M to license.

Precisely.

The point is to have other people enjoy the game, granted some will enjoy it on a tough difficulty, while others just want a simpler gameplay.

A tough game can
a) Give some a sense of achievement/reward though a challenging gameplay OR
b) Piss off those who want to simply enjoy the game without the frustration of difficulty.

Her name is Angelica Danger Dawn. Here's more goodness of her: http://darklorddungeon.blog...

Apparently she has a facebook fanpage as well, but I'm not going to bother with that. :)

The thing is developers can't and will not be able to satisfy every single person concern out there. Unfortunately some fail to realize this, and take on the web to complain how the developers didn't do what HE/SHE wanted or expected in the game.

It's quite simple really - if you don't like the game, don't buy it. Yes, voicing your concern might be your priority but a line has to be drawn. After all, they make the games, we play them. If the tables were tu...

The problem with hype is that it tends to be different from what the end product is i.e.: (people mostly like to set their standards too high and end up being disappointed).

It's even worse when the opposite happens - good games go by unnoticed at all.

I think the U.S. desperately needs a patent reform. The rules of the game are broken and patent trolls like Apple are playing the game.

A flame war piece from destructoid? I'm shocked! /s

In my opinnion, there was a time that Xbox Live was absolutely so much better than PSN, and made it totally worth the price. That was THEN.

-You get what you pay for
True, but what happens when the competition starts to give you more for you money? If you pay for PS+, you ge more than what you pay for. I can't count the free games I've had the chance to play, all thanks to PS+

You have to admire the work these guys are putting into their engine.

I believe they have a free CryEngine license available on their website for making non-commercial games. The commercial one costs a whopping $1.2 million....damn.

Let the people flock to them. I don't care how powerful the next iteration of the iPad will be, what will distinguish a Vita from an iPad as a gaming machine is the quality of games available on the platform. Yes, the iPad might have good games but why on earth would I play on a touch screen when buttons are far better suited for gaming?

The fact that a company with a fruit for a logo is selling millions of iPads doesn't make the iPad the best portable gaming machine....

2012 has been a shitty year for THQ. These guys can't catch a break. I wish them the best and hopefully they can continue giving us games.

This is kind of a tough choice.

Both games are brilliant, but I find Arkham City, after playing Arkham Asylum, to be better. It is larger, deals with more in terms of things that you can do and play with (there are lots more villains, for instance).
