Same here. It was worth buying. I loved the stealth, the variety of environments to explore, I'd give it an 8.5. I wish they could release more DLCs for single player mode.
I don't care how much crap he actually talks. Sometimes I think that Pachter considers himself as god or something. All I know is that Battlefield 3 is shaping up to be one hell of a contender to the FPS. Sure, the next iteration of Modern Warfare will sell millions once it comes out, doesn't change the fact that I'll always chose Battlefield over Call of Duty.
In the end, the gamers are likely to pay more, but at the same time developers really need the money in order to make future sequels.
At the same time, I want GameStop to pay. In terms of buy ins, they really ripp you off. They are worse than your college's book store buy in strategy.
In other words, we're going to see more Halo, more gears and more fable. Funny how they said that they don't want to just do sequel, sequel, sequel. They are also not risk takers. They will do what's right and use a formula that works. Let's hope that these sequels aren't bad.
That's actually a good tip. I remember playing Call of Duty World at War, and I could've sworn my commander was Jack Bauer in disguise. I looked further and actually Kiefer Sutherland was in the voice cast!
YES!!! Everybody's favorite cylon model Number Six. I wish she could actually appear in the game not as EDI, but with her likeness and appearance there as well, like Yvonne Strahovsky's voice and appearance in Mass Effect 2 as Miranda.
Goldeneye is and will always be the best split screen multiplayer game I have ever played. It was so ahead of its time...I spent who knows how many hours playing that game. Best experiences of my gaming life during that era. Sadly, split screen has been dying at the hand of online multiplayer.

If this is true, this is big news. Split screen multiplayer has been dying quite a lot lately.
In a sense no, we don't need new consoles right now. I agree that the tech is yet outdated in terms of comparison to its PC counterparts which is miles ahead, but the tech in consoles is still good enough to produce good games like Killzone 3 or Gears of War 3, or Uncharted 2.
Not to mention the fact that next gen consoles would be more powerful but would come at a cost, including more expensive games.

Some people don't actually want to toy around with a plastic guitar, in case you haven't noticed. Some want the real thing. Combining these two is actually a pretty good idea.
Think of the musicians who just want to have a good time playing a real guitar or just to try out Rocksmith, or vice versa...people new to playing the guitar and are looking for a fun way to learn.

Agreed. With less than 7 days to go and you decide to release a demo that is half baked (but still good), you are really doing something wrong.
All things said, you have to admit that the guys at DICE know their stuff pretty darn well. Frostbite 2.0 is turning out to be awesome. I have a beefy PC ready for this baby once it steps out.
I'm still very anxious and curious to find out what the console version looks like with the Frostbite 2.0 running on.

The general definition of "HD" is a resolution of at least 1280 x 720 pixels. So the PS3 demo (running at 1024 x 720) is not HD because the horizontal resolution of 1024 is still lower than 1280 to qualify it as "HD".
Even if it had a resolution of 1280 x 680, it still wouldn't count as "HD". Might look like HD due to the aspect ratio, but the combined resolution of both the horizontal (1280) and vertical (680) is still...
That's just your preference. People like Call of Duty over Battlefield, that's their choice. I'm in the vice versa group.
