Makes it a bit unfair for multiplatform owners. Take this scenario. Say that PS3 was the lead platform for a game. MS pays for exclusive DLC. PS3 is the better edition of the game but MS has DLC. What do you choose? The better core game or an ok core game with DLC? I'd rather choose between the core games. With MS touting exclusive DLC as the 'full' experience, I can see why PS3 owners feel cheated. It can go the other way as well where 360 owners feel cheated.

Looks sexy! Compare this to the Eternal Sonata cover. You'll notice that the designs are very similar. Main character on top. Name of game in the middle. Smaller characters on the bottom!!

I agree that price cut is a huge determining factor. The problem is with the arcade unit. Yes, the unit will sell @199.99 but how much value are you getting. Once the population realizes that you aren't getting much value out of the Arcade unit, it will be back to the Pro and Elite models. The Pro model is your best bet with it being 60GB now.

well ... the 360 may have a $199.99 price point but the PS3 comes equipped with a BRay player @ $399.99. Hardware sales for the PS3 will be driven by potential BRay buyers as well as the core gaming audience that want a piece of LittleBigPlanet. Wii sales will be driven by every demographic. The 360 sales will be driven by one thing alone ... price cut.

Because PSN is getting on par with XBL, the $49.99 price tag is not worth it. I don't all payer members even utilize 50% of what is offered by the service. Would I pay for a premium service ... of course I would. Would I pay for that same service if the alternative provides me 80% of the utilization at no cost?

I have custom firmware on my PSP because of two things

1. Playing old PSX games
2. Playing CPS2 and Neo Geo emulated games

I will download a PSP ISO only if I own the game. If the software is no longer in production, I have no problem downloading it. If the software and hardware (emulated systems) is not on the market ... its fair game to me!

I think Sony is more awake then you give them credit for ... here are the concerns and how they addressed it!

- Hard to Develop for -> Kaz made it a focus to provide Dev with better tools. EDGE tool set, etc ...

- No games -> Heavy focus on first party content. You'll see that in the games you play this Fall and into 09

The next issue is price. They will get it down to $299.99 but not on your timeframe.

Lighting .. this is why you would make a horrible decision maker. Just relax. Sony would cut prices if they could. The demand for PS3 has not substantially lowered since the 360 price cuts. You are getting alot of value in a $399.99 PS3. You just can't compare the two systems (arcade versus 80GB). Sony CAN NOT be reactive to the MS price wars. Sony must dictate if they expect to win this generation and expect to be profitable. You CAN NOT price yourself out of the picture ... meaning ...

As long as I still get the full game experience of paying $59.99. That is the problem with DLC. DLC should compliment and extend the core game. As long as the core is not being nickle and dimed ... I have no problem.

The list is good but it lacks Final Fantasy XIII. If this game is announced for release in Japan for the 360, this will be a HUGE blow to Sony. I understand the Level 5 factor for Sony ... but lets be real. Level 5 is now Square Enix. The only real consolation to Japanese PS3 owners is if Square Enix also announces the much wanted Final Fantasy VII remake exclusive to the PS3. Then again ... saying exclusive and Square Enix these days sounds weird!

True ... but you'll also see a $299.99 PS3 up against a $149.99 360.

something smells fishy on this. I did play the PS3 demo and it wasn't as blurry as the images in earlier posts proclaim. The one glaring problem is texture quality in Big Daddy. It is very poor and also an acknowledged miss by 2K (check their forums).

Resolutions for both games are the same!

Those screenshots comparing the two scream PC!

Sony needs to avoid selling PS3 bundles now for $499.99. It was fine when there was no 360 price drop. Its a mistake.

This is not PSP 2 ... PSP3000 is the third generation remodel of the PSP. Taking out the GBA slot renders Guitar Hero useless as well as other games. Its one thing to take out BC in the PS3 and another to take out an item that renders its software useless.
