Missed this gem of an annoucement. As a fan of Sega arcade racers and PS3 gamer, its utter horsecrap!
Far Cry 2 and PoP seem like solid buys. If you want a FPS, wait for Killzone. Far Cry 2 campaign will keep you busy till then.
No worries. Hate is not in my vocabulary ... Unless of course its anything to do with Wada @ Square Enix. I felt the same way as well. I guess like Halo 3, the arcadey feel was by design.

Wow ... that does suck! If its alternative flashing red and green you got an overheating problem which probably shut things down in a locked state including the game in the drive.
If its past warranty, you might want to call them and complain and see if you can get it repaired without getting dinged $150.00

Did it brick or did the laser just stop reading discs? If it stopped reading discs ... I think you can buy the replacement head yourself and replace it. If this is the case, I'll try and find a link.

You got it wrong ... review code has framerate issues for PS3 version. Retail version does not.
