Shame. The first game had a lot of good concepts, but with the downgrade and stale characters it fell flat. I still loved it though and I'm looking forward to WD2.
Scorpio will be a top notch console from everything we know, i'm fully expecting it to be 5-600. Exactly why i'm saving now.

Give me ryse 2 with better gameplay and a longer campaign. But they need to admit their exclusives have been mediocre at best while Sony continues to push out amazing exclusives. I'm still waiting on a killer app for Xbox one.

where was this attitude when Sony pushed bluray? I applaud that Sony gamers just want to game, but remember that when MS makes decisions that buck the narrative as well.
I find it funny though that this gen it was supposed to be all about gaming with Sony yet they still feature multimedia purposes. The wonderful console is definitely used for more than just gaming, yet MS was crucified for having a multipurpose narrative with Xbox 1.

They all said skyrin was a masterpiece so I bought the game... exactly why reviews aren't everything. I personally found it to be simplistic, devoid of story and ending, and ugly as all heck. I imagine what they would've said had they not had review copies, I see now, would've cried and crucified it and Bethesda.
I call sour grapes because the same gaming journalists crying over this are the same ones that constantly give bethesda games high praise no matter how ugly and buggy they are. So it's a bit ironic they start crying foul now.

100% agree. All of these articles sound like sour grapes. I understand that SOME consumers rely on reviews to shape their own thoughts but that's not the majority of us.
I don't need a review to determine the kind of game I want to play, sorry game journalists, you've always been expendable.
I could be wrong as I don't follow the whole streaming thing, but the lack of minorities in streaming is probably why they held the panel full of minorities to address the obstacles and clear racism that pops up in life, especially in the gaming community.

You hit the nail on the head. So far MS has gotten so much disgust at their upscaling to 1080, now PS4Pro will upscale some of their games, and people are cheering in droves. PS4Pro will be a good machine for now, and my hat's off to those that will get it and enjoy it. VR should be cool even though I still don't see it being anything more than a niche gimmick.
MS simply beat Sony to the punch. That's all. I guess everyone expected MS to sit and cry about losing the X1 / PS4 battle rather than ramp up on pursuing the future of gaming. Xbox One S already has better features than the PS4P, and Scorpio ON PAPER, at the moment will simply outclass the PS4P. Where MS dropped the ball though was requiring customers to buy the Xbox One S for the 4k upgrade, when it's a simple firmware update for Sony. Definitely speaks to how outclassed the xbox on...
I hope this ends the dumb console wars. Ps4 was more powerful than X1. Games looked better but they were still the same at the end of the day. All that power didn't make games innovative with new mechanics, etc., so who cares?
Scorpio will be more powerful than PS4P, but does it mean it will spark innovation? New game concepts? Idk, there hasn't been anything groundbreaking in gaming in forever. Just better visuals at the end of the day.

They didn't want to give MS credit then and they don't want to do it now. MS trumped sony with EA Access, BC, 4K, and now their next console iterations. I don't think anyone saw that coming with how well the PS4 was doing. So I don't expect the prideful fanboys to actually ever say anything positive about MS, but they cringe and cry about these features in private.
