I don’t see Zelda on PC anytime soon tho.
You didn’t read the article. The next xbox will be a new Xbox, not a pro version. MS does this to be 2 years ahead of PS6 and surpass PS5 pro. (According to the article and if these rumors are true tho.) So the series S is of no matter here.
Whether this is a smart move remains to be seen. MS still needs great exclusives, a more powerful machine alone won’t cut it.
Agreed!
Great era, agreed. But they can take me back to Genesis/SNES era. Cartridges ftw!
I’ve always hated such requirements. Even back in the day when you needed Steam to install and play games on PC.
That being said, I honestly think it’s stupid to reflect this in a review score. It doesn’t make the game worse.
Yeah, but we might have Red Dead 3 to fill the gap?
I think you’re stretching what art is here. In most cases there is only 1 original painting like the Mona Lisa or a Lichtenstein, Van Gogh,.., in that case you are right, the value is mostly determined by what people want to pay but you will own a unique piece.
And although games start a lot with artwork and the creativity of those involved, you can barely call a game an “unique “ piece. The value is set by industry standards mostly. But then again you decide if that price is worth i...
It’s about profit margins for the company and its shareholders, which is the case with every company.
I don’t understand what you’re saying. Xbox IS microsoft so there’s no “paying back “.
And MS gross profit in 2023 was over 140 billion dollars so forget your 2 decades.
Unless you mean the money MS invested in Xbox (acquisitions included) and the time it will take for xbox as a brand to gain that money back on it’s own, then yeah, that could take a while.
Yeah, the thing is back in the day we got demo’s and they gave you a glimpse of what to expect. And most demo’s were pieces of the final version, not chuncks of beta material.
Today with barely any demo’s, bying on a gut feeling is kinda tricky as games aren’t getting any cheaper.
I do watch and read reviews nowadays, paying attention to the con’s mostly. If certain negatives keep reappearing in reviews, there migt be some truth to it and it’s up to me if I let that negativ...
It was clear this game got released way to early but with all the updates and free content since, this game turned out pretty good. Hello Games redeemed themselfs in my book.
In case of a gaas game, hours played is an important indicator for the succes of the game imo. The game needs to generate money AFTER purchase (when bought) or when the game is on a sub.
@Sonic: I think the succes came from more that that; great exclusives and an expensive PS3. The headstart kinda backfired a bit with the faulty hardware (RROD)
disagrees for asking a question, nice...
What’s wrong with the combat?
@ jznrpg; I can agree somewhat, first ME was more rpg than other 2 but combat was a bit rough around the edges and you had less control over your teammates during combat. ME2 and 3 fixed that but the rpg elements were toned down.
Personally I liked ME2 the most tho. ME4 was very meh imo.
Not necessarily imo. The key is to have a solid synergy between the dev teams.
E.g. Hello Games is a very small team, (maybe too small?) when NMS got released.
It sucked lacking a lot of promised features. Who was to blame here?
I can agree that having more and bigger teams make it harder to keep control tho.
The controls of RDR2 felt a but cluncky indeed, but it’s not as bad as some make it out to be. At no point did I get the feeling my experience with the game was held back or ruined by the controls.
But it can never hurt to optimize them a bit, sure.
My guess is the pro will do 60fps@4K or 60fps with (better) raytracing. Anything else will basicly be the same. I got a PS4 pro at the time so I believe the jump in power will be similar compared to base console.
It’s anybody’s guess at this point really.
Probably not and it doesn’t have to imo. Better A.I., better physics and such will achieve a better real world experience than photorealistic images alone.
