It did get a physical release if you count “code on a disc” as physical.
The biggest improvement on current gen consoles was SSD storage imo. And at launch the hardware as a whole was at a better place compared to PS4/ XBone.

Sorry, but that’s bull imo. A good Gaas game can co-exist with single player games. A MMO game is kinda like a Gaas is it not? And they’ve been around for decades.
I would worry more about digital only and stuff like Gamepass for the health of the industry than Gaas games to be honest.
Weird as it is one day for release, game looks great and I have no doubt it will be great too.

I understand what he means I think. GOW Ragnarok isn’t the GOW from the first game anymore. The mythology of the character in the first game is completely gone in Ragnarok, losing it’s original identity so to speak.
Edit: Or Black Myth character is based on actual myth and GOW is rather fantasy based in myth worlds.

Getting better graphics doesn’t change the gameplay or story of a game tho. If a game sucks, it will suck at 30 fps or 60 fps, RT included or not…
I agree that the pro is a choice sure, but with this pricetag?? The PS4 pro had the same price as base PS4 at launch. With PS5 we’re going from 500€ to 800€!! Big difference imo. I don’t believe the pricetag justifies the upgrade.
