To summarize the article Steam Machines failed because:

High Price low performance
Did not solve the maintenance/ hardware compability issue
Not every Steam game was on a Steam Machine

My biggest worry is the consoles price ceiling. A console cannot cost no more than $400.00; therefore, the upgrade will be miniscule at best. Probably 4K video and lower temperatures, call it a day. Is either that or Microsoft/Sony would incur more debt due to selling console upgrades at a loss. For multiplatform game developers may not be difficult but what about first party studios.

WoW! Even EA (worst company in America) still makes games for PC, despite PC gamers forced them to change Sim City. WB games refuses to accept that their PC versions of their games were horrible. Instead of making amends with PC gamers; this company punishes PC gamers for not buying their crappy PC port.

Why the need of microtransactions, human revolution worked extremely well without them and even Xcom 2 or Total War Warhammer and ratchet and clank reboot don't have microtansanctions. I still do not understand why mainstream game developers implement microtransactions in $60.00 games. We already pay the game. Is this the same team of human revolution?

Deux Ex Mankind Divided hopefully adds more dialog bosses (talk your way out of a tough situation). Reason vs emotion that is something I want to see, how it works. If is like DHR then that would be awesome

If Microsoft decides to bring an Xbox Live app to say any Smart 4K tv set. Would you still want a console despite able to play the game through your tv set without a console. Hate to say it, but the hardware of consoles is done and buried. Come 2020 or 2025 for this amazing future:

Xbox Live app on any Smart 4K or 8K TV set that has:

8 core processor
NVIDIA GPU

USB 3.2, 3.1, 3.0 (external HDD compability)

This worries me in the sense that there will be a story, but it will not be part of the gameplay. That's the real issue with gaming right now; the story is there for those that want to hear it. Unfortunately, an intricate dramatic story or emotional story gets bog down by shoot pew pew pew gameplay. For example, the original Bioshock excellent story but its gameplay mechanics did not elevate or emphasize the story. On one hand is an action rpg, were it was shoot first think last. It shoul...

With the RX 480 it will be possible to build a gaming PC for $500.00

I need the ram for my gaming PC because my PC is hooked to the 📺. I may end up buying a RX 480. It does lack the features of NVIDiA Gameworks and physix 😫

Despite that, I must admit is pretty cheap for a 4gb (the ideal ram for tv play and overkill for monitor) GPU. It may force NVIDIA to lower the prices for its GPUs 😄

It lacks Nvidia gameworks and physix which makes games more alive.

I will wait from the official announcement from the game developer

Brings memories about how gamers are entitled, poor, have no idea of what they are talking about, or games are too expensive to make in regards to online passes. That game developers /publishers were 👌 to charge an online pass in regards to used games. Surprisingly, not one single gaming journalist mentioned "The First Sale Doctrine" : a global law that grants users, the legal right to buy used games, trade, and share. In regards to microtransanctions on $60.00 games is ok ...

It depends on the Linux distro the user uses. For example, Ubuntu and Mint are as accessible as Windows. Those two linux distros may have a different user interface but work like Windows. The biggest downside to Linux is lack of commercial programs (Netflix, Adobe, etc.), which prevents many people including engineers from using Linux.
I used Ubuntu very easy to use . One of my annoyances was converting Libre Office into Window Office files. The school I go to do not use Linux....
