Anyone know? Anyone care? And who the heck is Danica McKellar and why don't I know about her? Grrrr ... so many questions :)
Doesn't the author have anything better to do? I might as well start writing hypothetical articles. My first one 'what if I was a billionaire playboy?' Or perhaps 'what if I woke up a woman one day?' Grrrrrr :)
in some way ruins other FPSs? That's the daftest thing I have ever heard. It's like saying has Ferrari ruined the driving industry because no one else can compete? Bah humbug. Others do compete - competing is the whole point. By raising the bar, infinity ward has created a challenge to other developers to raise their game too. It's a good thing. Otherwise I'd still be playing chuckie egg on my Acorn flaming electron!
I can't just keep updating hardware every two years or so. And I know I don't have to buy either a new DS or a new PSP (if they ever arrive) but you can't not buy them really (apologies for the double negative)!
how to build my own PC :(
Don't tease me with promises of something bigger otherwise my hopes will be dashed and I'll be reduced to a blubbering wreck if I don't get Home .... do you want to see a grown man cry? :P
Can't wait for the updates though :)
It's not often you try to pee on your new employers while laughing ... Ah well. Maybe I'm a chicken and should gibe it a go? lol
All women are erm equal(ly beautiful). It's just that some women are more equal(ly beautiful) than others. Even the women that are of the CGI variety!
:)
I'll be undertaking quite a big global research project over the next few weeks but the bottom line is the consumers/gamers need to have a say in develoment and levels of aceptance. Also, there is a reall opportunity of having a game for free in exchange for advertising. Again, as long as the advertising is not obtrusive then I can't see a mjor issue. I'll have to wait and see what the gamers say! I'll see if I can post the results of the survey later this year.
They're just people so look normal. That's life. As for the attorney - he will try and hoodwink the jury into thinking the 'youth' of today are being subjected to outside influences and go for the sympathy vote because his client is nice and simple like that. What a crock.
is that a little innocent child lost her life - it's a total and utter waste of life. The author makes some intersting points for sure and I don't agree with them all.
But, maybe gamers should grow up a bit and think before making 'humourous' comments? There was a different post on N4G about her death and it had some, quite frankly, scandalous quips.
Everyone agrees that games are not the problem 99.99% of the time. Society and values are to blame. I sound like...
Bubbles for the author :)
That there is no point arguing with people who won't engage in constructive discussion (as seen in parts of this thread). As games develop and they 'push the envelope' and provide more visceral experiences, there is inevitably going to be a possibility that concerns around morality, influence, appropriateness of content arise.
To dismiss people who feel, for whatever reason, aggrieved/concerned/offended is a mistake. As gamers we do have a responsibility to stand up and be co...
The future is look great! 3D TV ... stuff of science fiction only a few years back. I can't wait till I have a holodeck (ahem) in my flat :)
That certainly can't be denied. I must admit, I didn't realise there were exclusive bundles for a multiplatform game but ... there you have it! Are there previous examples of such exclusive bundling happening for a multi-platform game?
Is that really how much they paid? That's a staggering amount of money. I could buy so many wine gums with that much cash :)
I have a PS3 but I'm quite neutral about which console will do better as a result of GTA4. Fact is that the PS3 has other great games on the horizon plus the aility to double as a blueray player that should help it edge forward. I'm glad of the competition quite frankly - it's good for us gamers!
We spent hours on a game called 'skool daze' trying to see if we could get our schoolboy character to actually sleep with the girl in the school (you could kiss her). That's what everyone was telling us was possible. And my mate reckoned he'd hacked teletext using the rmote control ... ahhh to be young and daft :)
Regardless of where I am in the world, I can use my iPhone wifi connection to watch a film in my PS3? Is that right? It's great technology - I'm not knocking it. Just trying to figure it out. How does this differ from the PSP (other than it's not as cool)? I don't have a PSP - can't you watch films in the PS3 on that?
Thanks for your patience with my limited technological understanding! :)
Trouble is I only have a small room! Ah well. The heck with the neighbours :)
Looking forward to the update!
I don't know why people get so upset over such things. If signing up is such a pain/chore (pick your term) to get a free online game ... don't do it. It's that simple. No-one is twisting your arm or forcing you do do anything.
I'll sign up and play even if I think it's a little disjointed. But saying it's a 'clusterf*ck' screams of over-reacting. Like a bad actor hamming it up. Worse things happen at sea you know ... let's get some perspective eh? It's a Beta - relax, have a c...
