I can see that Naughty Dog's particular style of game does tend to be centered around the narrative, obviously the gameplay is still fantastic but I don't think TLOU would have been so special without that storyline behind it.
It makes sense that they don't want people to be able to just watch it on youtube because it ruins the feel of the game and may make some not want to buy the game if they feel they already know the storyline.
For instance ...
People are saying that it is just stopping the money grabbing of Youtubers so it will be fine but how can you spend hours making good quality footage if you need another job that takes up most of your time. Youtube is bound to take a massive hit as if the channels I love can't upload like they use to then I and I'm sure many others will simply stop giving them any clicks and ad views.
Well considering the "gameplay" footage of Quantum Break was barely even .gif worthy, even that was a disappointment.
about 3 seconds of actual footage does not qualify as the world premiere of anything.
How could I guess that NeoGaf would go down because of that :D
Every *ATOM* Procedurally generated, I cannot even comprehend.
The last of us should have won this year, GTAV was fantastic but didn't leave the same lasting impression that TLOU did.
A big difference between a Games console that has media capabilities and a Media console that can play games.
yeah I agree, this game does NOT deserve the mocking or the low scores it receives.
The gameplay is tight and solid, the story, although not award winning kept me engrossed and the characters were likeable, not to mention that the idea is amazing and the game is incredibly crisp and looks good.
Well worth a buy, the replayability to find all the hidden stuff is fantastic too!
Deserving of an 8.5 in my books.
Thank christ, I was terrified of the £10 jump for all games, we shouldn't just roll over and accept that.
Even that is £5 more than they should be.
Those prices are truly disgusting.
For the americans, £50 is around $80 and £60 is around $97.
We are used to £40 for games which is around $65 but if Sony really want us to embrace digital gaming then those prices need to go.
It's an internet provider in Britain, Stands for British Telecom. The homehub is what they call their router box.
I can understand the message he was trying to give about gun safety laws however this is quite clearly not a good way to do it. Causing more outrage will not bring people onto your side.
Why do I always find Nelson just so Smarmy, he never fails to make me cringe.
Sessler is Microsoft.
Honestly I hope it won't be pirates again, If they are they should do a spinoff of like Pirate's creed.
Assassins are meant to be far to delicate and deliberate to be pirates, this one just didnt have the same feel as the others.
Hoping for feudal Japan for the next one, that would be awesome!
It's odd to see all the smaller sites to give this a much better score?
Pretty sure the definition of mediocrity would be a 5... as you know... its the medium?
It is an absolutely stunning game
The system has been done by a robot, not a human being looking for every penny it can grab.
This is not Sony's fault as with a lot of the flagging it is being done without the supposed content owner even being aware.
