I don't mean the character movement, but the overall pacing of the action..I swear it feels a bit more immediate. Halo will never have the insta-twitch of Unreal Tournament, but it seems to be a bit closer now, at least in my experience..
Agreed, I do like Halo, and I'm glad to have had the opportunity to see approximately what it will be like. I really like the slight increase to the gameplay speed, it makes it feel a bit more UT-like which is a good thing in my book.
damn triple post, sry guys, n4g being wacko
Sorry, n4g wouldn't accept my post for some reason
That is kind of an interesting point DJ, but to be fair, Sony isn't only using game footage either, even now. Lair, for example, all the trailers (not game demonstrations) have mixed the CGI footage with some in-game, so I think its more balanced than you are claiming (although right now it may be swinging in the other direction) We'll see very soon....
As for the Halo beta, I did like it a lot. The game seems a bit faster paced than H2 and definitely has added a bit to the ...
Like all lists this is a bit flawed (perhaps) but it does contain the second confirmation for KZPS3 (first being IGN) 'cept this one actually gives the day in Feb....interesting. Whether or not this game actually turns out good, I think its news that there is now, in fact, a pegged potential release date for this most enigmatic game.
Speaking of enigmatic: NoUseMerc, your post seems to indicate that YOU have seen Wardevil post E3 06, have you??? I remember they said that that ...
I am actually very interested to see MP3. I think that game has been shrouded in more secrecy than any other Wii game--and I would say that Metroid is definitely one of the few games that could get me excited about Nintendo's wunderconsole
Yeah, that could add an interesting dynamic. Unfortunately, I don't think it will be possible (at least not in this iteration). Dismounting is possible I think, but only when going from dragon to dragon.
Thanks, its much appreciated :)
Thank you Virtualgamer, that is exactly what I have been talking about. I too am becoming convinced that Killzone may be the first game to really show off this realtime procedural deformation technology. Why else would GG be giving a talk about their engine at a major upcoming conference?
It is true that this is extremely technical stuff, and I myself only understand the very basics. However, there may well be significant merit to these new claims. This is not coming from s...
I'm not bashing Halo 3. I played the beta and it is awesome and extremely fun! But from a graphic standpoint alone, the new COD4 and Haze look WAY better currently. This may change by release, I don't know.
Other than that, yeah this author is right. Gotta say though, seeing that new multiplayer footage for COD4 shows that lighting-wise it is toe to toe with Crysis. The models too are are very close. I never thought that these would be comparing to each other, but they do....
Yeah, good luck. If we are lucky, it will be at E3, I kind of doubt it though, as apparently GTA has never been a big presence at E3
POG, the reason that the rumor exists is PSM and EGM have been perpetuating it..Then again they are sure that an FFVII remake is right around the corner..we will see.
The first Carbon pics were a joke compared to these!
It was I think 1up, who said that the damage modeling in this game is better than Dirt, and that the graphics are amazing..
Awesome, I'm really looking forwards to this.
But if curious, here is some more info.
Actually there is a choice. One of the antagonists wants you to save the little genetically altered girls, the other wants you to kill them. Player chooses how to approach this conundrum..Also, it is not cut and dry, both are options as the game progresses.
The other thing that people are really excited about is the fact that our real world scientific laws are followed whenever possible. Things that burn, burn. Electric...
You cannot shoot the little sisters, there is the choice to "harvest" them for Adam, if the player so chooses. This harvesting happens entirely off screen.
While I agree that Lair and Warhawk look really fantastic and that Lair does things games have not been able to do before, so to does Bioshock.
There have been many previews and interviews showing the amazing degree of unpredictability of Bioshock. Everytime you die and restart, the enemies will respawn in a different location. Similarly, there is a complex AI ecology where enemies are engaged in their own behaviors, tasks, etc. These are all unscripted. In this type of game...
Now, I really wanna see this in motion...for a Wii title, it doesn't look bad.
