Yes but how is ANY Left 4 Dead DLC rumored when they've said from DAY 1 that there was going to be DLC for the 360. Even their quote doesn't even imply something of a rumor.

Fable 2, Fallout 3, and Mirror's Edge is just beginning of the "not shooters" genre. I know they're not Microsoft exclusive but they do add variety to the console.

If you read the wonderwall piece it mentions no where other than 2009 for a release date. Wotta decided to take it upon himself to give it a "February" release date. That was wrong.
It was never canceled.
As I'm sure you know in video games you have a developer and a publisher. The developer creates the game and the publisher puts it on the shelves. In order for a game to be canceled a developer has to be forced to (for whatever reasons) stop creating and/or finishing the game before it "goes gold".

The PS3 was the lead platform it was developed on because it was a Sony property but it's owned by the movies division and the gaming division is what has the PS3. The hands of the company do not talk to each other.
It was never out of development it just needed a publisher. In fact all news indicated it was ready to be published and on sale today (the 31st) but because of Activision cutting Sierra's publishing they got pushed back.
As far as I can recall it could possibly be their *only* good game. I remember the PC version for Ghostbusters 2 and that wasn't bad but it wasn't stellar.
I'd like a GB game that used GTA-open world elements where you can take calls and run around busting ghosts to collect money and create new and better equipment. Etc.
