You are right. I have bought this game for PC and for PS3. I would play it on PS3 since I have friends there who don't own gaming PCs, but I can't play it on PS3 because the chat doesn't work.
A tactical shooter, a squad based shooter without chat is not worth playing.

I am on my first gaming PC since a few months. I built it myself, just had a bit of help when choosing the components. Have played more games since than on console in two years. Experienced no trouble with any game or hardware. Just had to update to the beta drivers for BF3. I can not imagine going back to console. I am very curious what the next console gen will be like but the current gen of consoles is obsolete in my eyes.

Not only that. Show a second game on console, that runs so many things on screen and performs with 60fps.
MGS4 is still one of the best looking console games.
On topic: this screenshot is not impressive. What was shown when the FOX engine was introduced ran on PC. So I expect we can be looking forward to a graphical monster when Kojima does something on PC. It would not make sense for him to do another game on this gen's hardware. To be honest, I was a big fan of CoD 4 (played it on PS3). So I bought CoD W@W, to learn that they sold me a full price map pack with a slightly weaker single player campaign. The multi player was not bugged that much as the CoD 4 multi player before the patch that took them 2 weeks to release for the US version and additional 6 weeks for the EU version.
CoD W@W was my last purchase of that franchise.

Are you serious? You are waiting for them to put it on Steam? Man, don't wait. The game is awesome and what you call a cumbersome launcher actually works pretty good.
Of course the graphics are disappointing. When it's supposed to run on (now) 7 years old hardware. The only thing they can do is tweak their engine.
Anyway I am pretty convinced that the game will be a masterpiece. They seem to have gotten the message what GTA fans want to play.

It would be really sad if they release another GTA on this 6 to 7 years old hardware.
Hopefully it will be released on pc with an overhauled engine.
@fluffydelusions: I was a console only gamer and thought the same way as you. Now I have a very powerful PC and now that I've seen what PCs are capable of, I find it waste of resources, talent and creativity that some of those games you mentioned don't come out on the best platform. It's just such a waste and it's a shame!

I played Lair to the end and I liked it. The only thing that made it hard to finish was the framerate.
I'm still stuck in Folklore which has amazing game design.
