Graphics are most certainly part of the next-gen experience, but as always, they only go so far.
Aside from the visuals, what does inFamous SS do that couldn't be done on PS3? Does it have to do anything different at all?
Logically, no.
But this early in a new console's life, while consumers and the media are still fixated on the potential of what "NEXT-gen" means, yes.
I'd like to see those reasons too, actually.
That's all reviews are.
Why does everyone get so angry over review scores? They're not intended to validate your choices or to criticize your taste in games.
If you love a game that a particular reviewer didn't, it doesn't mean they're trolling / being paid-off / fanboys / going for click-bait / insert-additional-conspiracy-t heory-here, it means that they don't have the same taste in games that you do.
This isn't football - you don't "win" when...
Here's the secret to review scores for games, movies, or anything else:
Find a reviewer who has the same tastes you do and you will rarely ever be disappointed with your purchases.
I don't understand why everyone puts so much weight on reviews and then turns around and blasts them for being useless.
Why do gamers feel the need to be on the "winning" team?
It's probably a little too early to compare the two, given the few details BioWare has disclosed so far. Considering there's a Prestige system attached to housing which awards players points based on the items decorating their homes, I would imagine that it'll be very customizable; especially if they're looking to compete with titles like WildStar.
Open-world housing is a nice idea, but everything I know about SWG's player cities indicates that they were v...
At a recent Community Cantina event, BioWare revealed they have 10 million casual players with over one million playing each month.
Additionally, the Cartel Market made them $139 million (the equivalent of 772,222 subscriptions @ $15 per month) in 2013. Keep in mind, that money is from F2P players, not subscribers.
SWTOR was the #3 top-grossing F2P MMO on the market in 2013.
So yes, despite how you may feel about it, SWTOR is an extremely luc...
I couldn't get into it during the beta. PvP seemed like a crazy zerg fest, the comedy found on the official site and dev diaries is nearly non-existent, the character models look and feel like they should be at least twice as big as they are, and the rest of the world seems way too big.
The only time I laughed was when I hit level 8 and a voice-said, "Oh, SH[bleep]T! YOU just leveled UP!"
It has its moments and I enjoyed what I played, but not e...
Someone calling for better portrayals of women in gaming? I feel threatened by this for some reason! Better make ignorant comments, create ridiculous comparisons, jump to extremes, and become entrenched in my opinions instead of considering both sides of the discussion!

I absolutely loved every moment of this game.
@cyclindk
As someone who actually owns a Wii U and a 3DS, I see it almost every day! On the 3DS, you still have to take your eyes completely off the top screen to look at the bottom.
Looking at your TV, then glancing down at your lap is not nearly as dramatic as you're making it out to be.
Push away from your computer screen and put your hands in your lap. Look at the screen. Now glance down at your hands and back at the screen.

"Once it dies I hope you enjoy jumping through hoops for Nintendo in order to prove that you own all of those games you paid good money for, but are locked to the brick they were purchased on."

You can absolutely play Wii U and Virtual Console games solely on the gamepad.
Two screens work on the 3DS - how is Wii U any different? ZombiU uses the gamepad to great effect and so do many other titles.
Wait, hold on a second - Lots of folks breaking their arms patting themselves on the back for buying a PS4 and feeling like they're part of a winning team when hardly anyone here has given a coherent reason WHY it's the best console this generation. Because it's selling well...?
It doesn't look like there's much to play on PS4 at the moment and two of the biggest exclusives garnered lackluster receptions. I have to wonder if everyone would still be so psyc...
If there is such a thing as a "true gamer", you're not it. I would imagine a "true gamer" is someone who plays games because they're fun, not because of how they look.
Wii had some stellar games - don't write it off because it wasn't powerful. Calling it a casual console is ignorant. PS3 is a casual console if you only buy casual games.
You sound more like the common "bro gamer" to me.
I'd love to play Fatal Frame 4!
...if only it would come out in English!
Well-said!
Here's hoping!
I couldn't agree with you more about them not being signs of the system's "failure".
The purpose of this article is to address the myriad I've seen that consider these cancellations the death knell of the 3DS.

This can't possibly be biased journalism!
Just another group getting massive hits on a free ride from n4g's proclivity for sensational fanboy fodder.
