Yeah, I seem to recall paying $700 for an Xbox One months after launch and over $400 for a PS4 way after launch - neither of witch included an extra controller or a game or months of free online services...
"Loyal fans?" What's the last Nintendo console you owned..? N64?
I'm talking specifically about people who refuse to play a game because it doesn't align with the image they're trying to project.
This may come as a surprise to you - as a five year-old who has never "done any self realization," it shook me to my very core - but some people only like some things and dislike other things to look cool, regardless of how they actually feel.
And that's what I don't understand - especially in vid...
Why is it that some people seem to define themselves through the games they play?
If you're worried you'll appear immature or less masculine because of a video game, you're missing the point of video games entirely: having fun.
The games looked fun.
And for those of you outspoken about multiplatform games, be real with yourself - you wouldn't buy them anyway. You just think they somehow make a console more "legit.&q...
So you, a male, don't see why women have an issue with this kind of thing? Gotcha.
Has it ever crossed your mind that women want cool female characters whose body parts aren't a defining characteristic? How the almost exclusive oversexualization of female characters might make them feel objectified and marginalized?
No, no - I'm sure it's just that they're all "fat and ugly." How's the single life treating you?
What I think of when someone uses the term "Social Justice Warrior:"

Gamers: "I'm being cheated! I deserve things! The industry is out to get me! This game should have included the ensuing months of additional FREE DLC at launch, but should have been launched years ago! Rabble rabble rabble, free free gimmee waaaaaaah!"
Jesus Christ...
One last bit - let's address the whole "fanboy" thing. In the last seven days, you've accused others of being a "fanboy" five times, which is interesting because:
In the last six days, you've posted eleven comments on Uncharted articles. That's 1.8 Uncharted comments daily.
Since the start of the year, you've commented on at least 26 Uncharted articles - I stopped counting on page five of the Google search results.

In what way has the climbing evolved? What significant change did the jeep have over the jet ski? Tighter controls? Sure, I'Il give you that - but the gameplay mechanics themselves have not changed.
I asked you what mechanics Uncharted 4 has that THE OTHERS don't.
As a matter of fact, what can you do in any of them that you can't do in the others?
Yes, they've tightened the controls - but nothing about the game has chang...
In what ways has the gameplay evolved since the first title? The grappling hook?
The climbing mechanics, combat, stealth - all unchanged. Hell, even the very first Uncharted had vehicles.
Can you point to gameplay mechanics UC4 has that the others don't...?
I was totally underwhelmed by Uncharted 4's gameplay, but impressed with its cinematic storytelling.
I think the former is overlooked for the latter.
Tomb Raider is the richer gaming experience. Leveling up, learning new skills, crafting, unlocking new weapons, discovering hidden puzzles, items, and lore - there's much more to see and do than there is in Uncharted.
I couldn't help but feel that I was just going through the...
Awesome. Between people like you and Kotaku's article titles, I may never have to be surprised by a game again.
Relax - enjoy the demo for what it is. Just be happy to have something new and free to try.
Everything will be fine.
MINOR SPOILER:
I just reached the final chapter this morning. The narrative mostly hits the right emotional notes (nothing with Sully basically raising Nate and playing the father figure?) and the visuals are fantastic, but the gameplay felt to me like fluff between cutscenes.
As the game progressed, enemy engagements felt more like an annoyance than an exciting prospect, most of the action sequences had me feeling like I was just going through the motion...
Uncharted 4 is a gorgeous technical and literary marvel.
But the gameplay feels shallow - as I move into the final chapters of the game, stealthing or blasting my way through enemies walking along set paths is starting to feel more like a chore than an exciting experience.
The climbing and platforming portions feel more like visual showcases, and the scripted action sequences make me feel like I'm just going through the motions.

Why does it have to compete with Overwatch? I don't understand.
I don't understand - where's the judgment...?
Sheesh, you've made 20 comments in the last eight days and 16 of them are unarguably negative. Isn't it exhausting to be so angry all the time? Chill out, buddy; they're just games!
